An adventure to behold exploring the wonders of Western Australia 0 , QLD, Australia, Oct 2022
We have been really happy with the service and assistance provided by Hannah at Global Journeys. This was our third tour with AAT Kings in Australia and we would thoroughly recommend them to our family and friends. The Tour Director Liz was amazing. She was very well organized and had a great wealth of knowledge of the entire area covered by the tour. ...read more Lee our Bus Driver was exceptional and a really safe driver. He was very curteous and always willing to assist all members of the group.

Liz and Lee joined in all activities which made for a happy group and an enjoyable trip. They were fantastic. Highlights of the trip included the wild flowers, the different types of vegetation, the beautiful beaches and the historic buildings along the way. Would like to make special mention of "Sheena" who welcomed us with open arms to Wave Rock, an amazing woman who has dedicated her life to promoting this area to the world.
Wonderful Wildflowers! 2 , NSW, Australia, Sep 2019
Even though there was a lot of driving, there was at least a lot of wildflowers to look at along the way! The accommodation and food were generally good, though the Travelodge in Perth had the the worst meal of all places we stayed. I would recommend the trip only in the wild flower season.
WA Highlights at Wildflower Time 2 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2017
Great taste of southeast WA! Many kilometres covered by an excellent driver. The guide was very informative and entertaining - aiming for all to enjoy their holiday. Wonderful variety from Monkey Mia to the Giant Trees and across to Esperance and Kalgoorlie. A highlight was Wave Rock and the lady who fostered local tourism there in an environmental ...read more way - a most interesting character.
Western Wonderland 9 , United Kingdom, Oct 2016
We enjoyed the trip, but did find it very tiring, even though we are fairly fit people our ages 72 & 77, we feel we will not do a long coach trip again. If we do decide to do New Zealand, it will be a cruise. As Australia is such a vast country, there is obviously a long distance between each destination, and the scenery basically just bush, wheat fields ...read more for as far as the eye can see, and again, obviously, the stops can only be at road houses/filling stations. These all provided adequate refreshments.

I have to say, the hotels were not as "flash" as the ones on the APT tour we did previously, but they were OK except for the switch at Margaret River, which was a bit below par. We personally would not recommend the Monkey Mia add on, two long days to get there, and although we did see the Dolphins it was not what we expected, the boat trips, well, perhaps its the weather, but we saw NO wildlife except for a brief glimpse of the Dugong, and the sunset not that special. Then two long days with not a lot to see back to Perth. Hope that's a help.
Worry free western wonderland 3 , NSW, Australia, Oct 2016
Western Wonderland was the name of the tour run by AAT Kings and that is what is was. We were well looked after by our great tour director and also had a very good driver who took pride in keeping his coach very clean. The area this tour covered was the south of WA and up to Monkey Mia and we were lucky enough to have pretty good weather and also to ...read more see wildflowers. I do advise to be prepared with jackets for how windy it can get throughout that region. Do be prepared for long days of travelling due to the distances between towns but there are plenty of stops to see sights. Thanks to Global Journeys for the ease of doing my bookings.
A few highlights 0 , ACT, Australia, Aug 2015
Lucky Bay (near Esperance), Jewel Cave (near Margaret River) and Monkey Mia in my opinion were three of the highlights of the tour.
Saw an amazing amount of beautiful WA 1 , Australia, Sep 2014
Thank-you Georgie for the seamless booking of our tour to Western Australia, the prompt responses to our emails, all the holiday tips, airport transfers, and pre-tour accommodation, your helpfulness was appreciated! Our tour was very comprehensive of the region, WA is very spectacular. Our Tour Director Sylvia was very accommodating and knowledgeable, ...read more and our bus driver Tom was great. Tom drove our bus very smoothly and at a pace that we could enjoy the scenery, he also made sure our bus was clean inside and out every night. Sylvia lived in the region and was able to bring local perspective and personal stories that added character to what we were seeing. We saw an amazing amount of beautiful WA plus the gorgeous wildflowers, and we especially enjoyed the photo stops along the way, we had nice food and interesting travel companions. Can't wait for the next time we travel, and will certainly book through Global Journeys!
Itinerary, tour director and tour bus driver were all excellent 1 , United States, Nov 2013
The hotels/motels were the low point of the tour, which was generally very well done. Tour itinerary, tour director and tour bus driver were all excellent. I didn't expect a lot since most of the cities and/or towns were not areas with large populations. However, one motel ran out of gas and there was no hot water. Unacceptable. The food served as part ...read more of the tour was decent enough. The best hotel, which was excellent, was in Fremantle. The choice for Perth was not a good one. Perth, being a major city, had to offer numerous choices. There had to be a better hotel than the Travelodge. Global Journeys and Kirby did an excellent job. I was a little hesitant doing all of this online, but Kirby handled everything perfectly and on time. Thank you for an excellent experience. This was our third trip to Australia and we enjoyed each one. It was well worth the travel time. Some of our American friends don't know what they are missing.
Recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see WA 0 , Australia, Oct 2013
Just completed the tour of Western Australia. Had a great time. Greg and Darren were a great team keeping us on track and providing us with lots of information and stories. 4000 kilometers in 12 days, many experiences and sights to see. Would recommend this trip to anyone who wants to see our Western State. Breaches whiter than white, water clear and ...read more clean, wine flowing, dolphine, kangaroos and emus plus the SUPER PIT. Great staff and coach, Would definitely recommend this tour 0 , Australia, Oct 2012
Have just completed the Western Escape tour of WA and had a great time. We covered a huge area in the 15 days which include everything you need/want to see from the beautiful coast line to the dusty gold fields & also some time to relax in between. Lots of laughs with the other passengers and being the youngest person on the tour it was great to see ...read more people from all walks of life and ages enjoying the experience together. The tour guide and bus driver were amazing. Thanks Gillian and Paul I don't think the tour would of been as great as it was without your friendly, professional and very well informed guidence. The coach was very clean, well air conditioned & really comfortable. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to visit WA.
Choices made for stops were excellent 1 , Canada, Oct 2011
We enjoyed the tour but did not realize it was actually split in two, so it gave us a chance to meet different people and we enjoyed the camaraderie of both. Greg and Daryl were great - watching Daryl vacuum the flies off the front window was entertaining. The choices made for stops were excellent, although I am sure that trying to remember everything ...read more Greg mentioned is impossible. Thank goodness I took a few notes. Hotels were good, although the breakfasts were quite repetitive but always enough to fill one's belly. Enjoyed the Whale museum, Super Pit, Mine tour, Gloucester tree, the jetty, the Wave etc. The chocolate factory was just a store to buy chocolate and not a tour. The fact that we had a few choices was good. The second and northerly half was equally as good. The only time we were less than pleased was the flower farm. Expected more of a tour and live flowers but the worst was how rushed we were because she had 4 groups in an hour and was quite abrupt with us. 2 nights at Monkey Mia was good.
The beaches were spectacular 0 , Australia, May 2010
We had a great time on the tour in Western Australia. We covered 5200 kilometres and saw a vast array of different places. The state of W.A. is very big as you no doubt know hence the distance we travelled. The first week the coach was almost full however for the Monkey Mia leg there were only 20 people on the coach. There were lots of interesting places ...read more to see. We especially liked some of the beach areas a lot of them rather remote and no one living there but very spectacular places. We were very impressed with Kalbarri and the surrounding area called Red Bluff. Also were impressed with Cape Le Grand and a beach named Thistle Beach - a lovely spot. We loved Perth which is a very clean city compared to Melbourne. They have a great river in the Swan very close to the city centre. We walked along there from our Hotel. The accommodation we stayed in were all very adequate. Our only criticism would be the location of many places which was away from the town centre which meant we couldn't go for a walk there in the evening. We would have liked to see more of Albany and Esperance but realise it isn't possible to see everything. Thank you for all your help with the tour. Will keep an eye on your website for future reference.
