An amazing trip from Broome to Fremantle   , QLD, Australia, Aug 2025
Another perfect cruise on Scenic Eclipse II. From the beginning of our booking, Tracey handled the connection with Scenic and she made it all so easy for us, keeping touch with us regularly. Thank you Tracey, we are really grateful. The Scenic Eclipse II staff were amazing - always looking out for us, they remembered our names, always there when we... read more had a query or needed something. Our cabins were super comfortable with table and chairs on the large balcony. Room service meals were available if we did not want to spend time going to the dining room. Plenty of healthy food choices.

The crew took the Zodiacs out each day - sometimes the water was rough and the crew took care to help the passengers on and off the Zodiacs. On two days, the water was too rough for the Zodiacs to make a landing on the beach, on these days we cruised slowly along the coastline of the islands and we really enjoyed that. While anchored outside Dampier, we were surrounded by dozens of humpback whales, we had never imagined so many whales together in one place. From the Zodiacs we were able to view amazing underwater life - huge bommies, dugung, colourful fish - much more.

We visited many historic sites and learned a lot. Several marine biologists and environmentalists on board and each night we had a lecture/discussion on what we had seen during the day. We highly recommend this cruise - there was nothing we could fault. We would certainly travel with Scenic again, and we would also ask Tracey from Global Journeys to handle our future bookings for us.
80's cruise from Sydney   , New Zealand, Jul 2025
We made the 80's cruises in Carnival Adventure. Overall was really enjoyable, atmosphere on the cruise and especially the main shows were really good. Cabinets and overall state of the ship are very good too. Embarkation and disimbarkation process really organized and fast. Things not so good: There is not a lot of variety on food on The Pantry, and... read more the daily entertainment was kind of short on options, with more of the activities focused only on Australian passengers. Is a good option anyways for a short break.
Wonderful APT Seabourn Pursuit Kimberley Cruise   , NSW, Australia, Jul 2025
The Seabourn Pursuit was a gorgeous ship with beautiful cabins, great food and food options, lovely bars, great entertainment and of course interesting zodiac based excursions to reefs, rivers, waterfalls and bird sanctuaries.
The average age was probably around 70 but everyone mixed well and everyone seemed very happy with all aspects of the cruise.

Margie... read more the APT cruise director was fabulous bringing people together and involved in activities as did her assistant Tatijana. The Seabourn staff were all fabulous with great entertainment crew, bar and restaurant staff. The ship was always so clean. Special mention to the Captain Ertan who was so friendly and approachable. The staff has so much respect for him and his warmth and professionalism showed through all levels of the crew.

Thank you to Hannah from Global Journeys who recommended it. We certainly would never have had this amazing experience on the other cruises we were looking at.

We have just returned from our Travelmarvel Kimberley cruise. We have only positive things to say, well organised, fantastic crew, and expedition team. Common Questions Common questions about cruising Australia

Is cruising a good way to see Australia?

Australia has approximately 35,000 km of stunning coastline, is one of the larger countries in the world and is the only one of its size completely surrounded by water. The coastline includes the Pacific, Indian and Southern oceans and offers a huge diversity of reefs, natural landscapes and stunning cities which definitely makes it a fantastic cruise destination.

When is the best time to cruise Australia?

Although Australia is a year round cruise destination, the main cruise season is from October to April. The greatest selection of departures are available during these summer months which are perfect for visiting Australia's coastal towns and stunning beaches. By contrast, the winter months of May, June, July and August are best for cruising in the Northern Territory and Far North Queensland when the wet season is over and humidity is low.
