Amazing Continent 0 South America & the Chilean Fjords , VIC, Australia, Feb 2026
Global Journeys once again professional in every aspect of their service special mention to Georgie. Vikings itinerary fantastic for Santiago to Buenos Aires ensure your Portside for best views. Service and organisation of tours excellent.
Be aware there are a few sea days extra as we missed Falkland Islands high winds. Extension Iguazza Falls brilliant read more but very tiring as no free time longs days. Advice is this is extended by one day in both Brazil and Rio! Great memories so glad we saw parts of South America 🌺
Malta, Morocco & the Med 0 Malta, Morocco & the Mediterranean , QLD, Australia, Feb 2026
Sailing with Viking was perfect, they really look after all their passengers. Embarking & disembarking are fast, smooth & seamless. Food was varied & often followed the theme of the port we were visiting. Staff are all so friendly & genuine in their interactions with everyone. The cabin is so well laid out we had drawers we didn’t use. Everything was read more well thought out & their experience in cruising is obvious. One or two ports were a bit dull, not sure why Tunis is a destination, perhaps it’s just logistics because of the distance to cover.

One bit we found a bit perhaps unfair is when they release the excursions, the penthouses, owners suites, Explorers suites etc get to choose & book first, thereby making it harder to get a spot in places where there is a very big highlight…such as Alhambra. We booked our excursions the second they were sent to us & still missed out. Three of the restaurants stand out, Manfredi, Chefs Table & The Restaurant - excellent food choices & high standard but not snooty at all, but that is not to say the casual restaurants & cafes were anything other than very good. You do not need to dress up, just smart casual is fine. It’s never been our choice to go to any of the shows so can’t comment. It will be nearly impossible for us to choose another company to sail with in the future.
Fabulous Cruise around South America   0 South America & the Chilean Fjords , NSW, Australia, Nov 2025
Absolutely love Viking Cruises. The ships are amazing; not too big but big enough to offer quality dining, entertainment, spa experiences and interesting informative talks Staff are so welcoming and put 100 percent effort into making sure you enjoy your cruise. The people you meet are always very nice. Loved the Falkland Islands and the penguins.
Amazingly efficient travel agents! 0 Italian Sojourn , SA, Australia, Oct 2025
Our consultant Hannah was amazing! Her communication excelled from the start of our enquires until the day before we left for our Italian Sojourn. We felt totally supported and confident about every aspect of our trip due to her extremely attentive responses to any and every enquiry.
Wonders of China Sept 2025   1 Wonders of China , QLD, Australia, Sep 2025
We have had an amazing trip with Viking both the cruise and the land based extension. As usual Viking have out done themselves of the excursions and the little add ons. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone interested in broadening their horizon's. Photo from the Shanghai Tower, 118th floor.
A Wonderful North Pacific Cruise on Viking Venus from Vancouver to Tokyo.   2 North Pacific Crossing , VIC , Australia, Sep 2025
We have just returned from another wonderful Viking Ocean Cruise expertly booked and managed by Hannah Perry. Any concerns or changes we requested were promptly addressed and resolved. We travelled with Viking again as their ships are large enough to provide excellent facilities, service and dining whilst maintaining a personal element. Voyaging through read more the Inside Passage to Alaska then across to Japan with Viking was filled with beatuiful, ever changing vistas. We enjoyed our shore time but also our sea days when we could choose our own agenda. So we have already booked another Viking Ocean cruise - using Hannah of course. Many thanks!
Iceland, British isles & Iberia 0 Iceland, British isles & Iberia , VIC, Australia, Jul 2025
Very well organized trip and fantastic experience. Excellent service. Beautiful cruise, food on brand new ship. Will try to book new cruise when opportunity arises again.
Viking cruise Norway and Iceland   2 Iceland & Norway's Arctic Explorer , VIC, Australia, Jun 2025
Great Viking cruise - the coast line of Norway is spectacular. Global Journeys assistance throughout the booking was first class, and we certainly appreciated Hannah’s help in getting early receipt of luggage tags etc. We booked a future Viking cruise through Hannah whilst on our Norwegian cruise , proof positive of our recommendation for both Viking and Hannah.
Lovely cruise around the UK 1 British Isles Explorer , NSW, Australia, Jun 2025
Overall a lovely cruise. Once onboard everything was great. Cabin is nice (DV), crew wonderful, food great. We enjoyed the entertainment, particularly the shows put on by the Viking Vocalists. Two years ago we thought the excursions were very reasonably priced… now we think they are outrageously expensive. The included excursions are hit and miss. We read more missed Dublin due to an issue with the mooring rope and the propeller. We were happy to make it into Shetland, apparently it’s easy to miss Shetland due to weather.
Fantastic cruise - Smooth Sailing 2 Alaska & the Inside Passage , VIC, Australia, Jun 2025
Really enjoyed this trip with Viking. The ship was super impressive with a luxurious feel across the board. The food was outstanding and the cruise itself took us through some spectacular scenery. The booking process with Global Journeys was very smooth also - really liked being able to pay off the trip over several months. Highly recommend the overall read more experience and would book with Global Journeys and Viking again!
Into the Midnight Sun 2 Into the Midnight Sun , VIC, Australia, Jun 2025
This is our first ocean cruise with Viking and it lived up to our expectations. We really enjoyed the itinerary especially starting at the Cutty Sark wharf, brief stops in the Orkneys and Shetland and cruising through the fiords of Norway. The included excursions at each port were very good. Our cabin and facilities were very comfortable. Overall read more the ship was very good especially the included specialty restaurants - the Chefs Table and Manfredis. Our only disappointment was the dinner menu choices in The Restaurant. The World Cafe buffet was excellent for choice and quality. Georgie Walpole handled our booking efficiently as usual.
Japan Cruise 2 Far Eastern Horizons , QLD, Australia, Apr 2025
Firstly thanks to Hannah Campbell. Hannah was very helpful in booking our trip and responding to my queries. Some of the included excursions were disappointing. eg. 2 hours at Hiroshima Peace Park was too long and should of had an alternative excursion in Kobe when weather blocked mountain top views. No refund for cancelled excursion in Tokyo due to bad weather.
Bit of a disappointment 1 Malta, Morocco & the Mediterranean , NSW, Australia, Mar 2025
Port of Algiers cancelled and replaced with Tangiers months before departure due to Viking "operational issues". No explanation or apology.
Lovely Cruise and Fabulous Pre-Cruise Tour   4 South America & the Chilean Fjords , QLD, Australia, Dec 2024
Our trip to South America comprised of the 18-day Viking Cruise from Buenos Aires to Santiago, preceded by the 6-day Gateway to Patagonia Viking add-on which started with a night in Santiago, followed by 2 nights each in both Chilean and Argentinian Patagonia. This land tour, although expensive, was the highlight of our trip. The scenery was absolutely read more spectacular at both the Torres del Paine National Park (Chile) and the Perito Moreno Glacier (Argentina), South America’s most spectacular glacier. The hotel in Puerto Bories, a former sheep abattoir and cold storage plant, was a destination in itself, with the heritage of the old buildings and equipment carefully preserved and integrated into the modern luxury hotel.

Our 18-day Viking Cruise was good value for the price, but we had a few disappointments too. The itinerary already included quite a few sea days, but we ended up with even more than scheduled. We were unable to land at the Falkland Islands due to weather (wind and choppy seas), a huge disappointment as this was one of the main reasons we had chosen this cruise. Port Stanley has to be landed by ship’s tender, and we suspect that, had we been an expedition ship with fewer mobility limited passengers, that landing would have been feasible. Additionally, we had to return to Ushuaia 4 hours after departure to offload a medical emergency, meaning that we arrived in Punta Arenas too late in the day to go ashore and do any excursions. As a result, this cruise ended up with far too many sea days for our liking.

Having said that, the ship itself was beautiful, the 4 guest lecturers were knowledgeable and fascinating, the entertainment was excellent, the dining was delicious, and the staff were absolutely fabulous. Viking is certainly a company that prides itself on faultless service and they definitely delivered on that. The photo I am including is of the Perito Morino Glacier which we saw on our pre-cruise trip to Patagonia.
China Discovery 1 China Discovery , VIC, Australia, Sep 2024
Well organised by Global Journeys and Viking Cruises. The ship was very comfortable the crew were professional and entertaining. The tours were outstanding. The lectures very interesting and the entertainment was unbelievable. Pickups , transfer and flights well organised by Tracey at Global Journeys. Looking forward to our next cruise next year.
British Isles and Iberia cruise 0 Iceland, British isles & Iberia , NSW, Australia, Sep 2024
Wonderful cruise but very American orientated. Lectures onboard were informative but also directed to the American audience. Shore excursions were well organised and entertainment fantastic. Size of ship is also appealing. Global Journeys were great to book through and will continue to organise my travel arrangements through Georgie.
Great Lakes Explorer with Viking 2 Great Lakes Explorer , NSW, Australia, Sep 2024
The trip highlights included outstanding expertise and knowledge of the expedition crew. Our talks were succinct and informative and you could participate in a wide range of scientific discussions and activities. We loved the zodiac and special operation boat rides, would have loved the option to do both rather than choose. Optional shore excursions read more were rather expensive and some should have been included (walking tours of towns). Safety was always paramount. The ship’s crew also were most attentive and accomodating. We had a lovely time and Viking’s standard of service remains very high.
Viking Homelands and Majestic Iceland Cruise   3 Viking Homelands & Majestic Iceland , TAS, Australia, Jul 2024
This was our first cruise with Viking and won’t be our last. The Viking Venus had a wonderful ambience in all public areas. With a crew member for every two people, the service was quick in the restaurants, cafes and bars. Food, drinks, entertainment, lectures and port talks were first rate.

There are no internal cabins, they all have balconies read more and serviced twice a day by friendly stewards. There are two specialist restaurants, as well as the main restaurant and World Cafe which is a buffet style and has special food nights, like pasta, kebab, lobster and Asian. Unless you particularly want yo drink premium wines, those served at lunch and dinner are of good quality.

In every port there was an included tour, some were better than others. We didn’t know before we went that there would be shuttle buses in some of the ports. Would have used one in Gdańsk to do the Amber Museum instead of paying for an optional tour. Go in the morning, as we had not time to shop for amber as the heavens opened up in the afternoon. A large storm with torrential rain, lightning, flooding cut our tour short and absolutely drenched and sitting soaked through on a bus for an hour.

In Oslo, go to Museum Island on the first day in port. As we were doing an included tour in the afternoon and the ship sailed before lunch the next day, we did not have time to do this. Kon-Tiki, Explorers and Folk museums are all near each other and you can take a boat from the wharf over to the island. Scandinavian cities are all situated around a wharf area, have brightly coloured houses, lovely gardens and many souvenir shops. Sailing into the fjords is very scenic and many waterfalls cascading down from the mountains.

The Majestic Iceland cruise continued from Bergen to the Faroe Islands and around Iceland to Reykjavik. We stayed two extra days there and did three tours. The first with Arctic Adventure, who offer a combo tour - the lava tunnels and Golden Circle. The second was with Gateway to Iceland to the Rekjanes Peninsula, which is the geo-thermal area and more interesting than the commercialised Golden Circle. We stood between the two continents, the North American and European plates that are pulling Iceland apart slowly.

Tracey at Global Journeys was always in contact with us from booking to departure and answered any queries promptly. We could pay by instalments, which spreads the payments easily during the months before our trip. We have now booked several trips with Global Journeys with no problems and appreciate the discounts and attention to detail.
Fabulous Trip   1 Iceland & Norway's Arctic Explorer , NSW, Australia, May 2024
Everything went so smoothly. This Viking cruise was exceptional. The staff, accommodation, tours, talks and of course the food were excellent. Highly recommend this trip and of course Global Journeys.
Viking cruise highly recommended 1 Iceland & Norway's Arctic Explorer , NSW, Australia, May 2024
The Viking cruise was amazing. The Mars Viking was tastefully decorated and only 2 years old. The staff were fabulous as was the food. We were given the opportunity to try wines from all over Europe at each meal but were still able to request your favourite wine. Norway is beautiful and we had amazing weather. It was a shame the weather meant we missed read more one port in Iceland but it was too dangerous because of icebergs. The included tours were good and we added some extra tours which were great.
