2 Arrive Cairo - Giza
Welcome to Cairo, the sprawling capital of Egypt. This evening we'll enjoy a group welcome dinner in Giza. (D)
3 Giza
Our touring in Egypt begins at the oldest structures in existence, the amazing Great Pyramids of Giza. We'll visit the nearby Great Sphinx, with the body of a lion and the head of a king, often referred to as the national symbol of Egypt. We'll also discover the ancient capital of Memphis and the incredible Step Pyramid of Sakkara. (B)
4 Cairo
Today we visit the 12th century Saladin Citadel of Cairo and the Mohammed Ali Mosque. We'll then discover the 14th century souk, Khan el-Khalili Bazaar. Famous for its handmade crafts, it's also the perfect place to enjoy a traditional Arabic coffee. This afternoon we'll visit the world-famous Egyptian Museum, home to Tutankhamun's priceless treasures. (B)
5 Giza - Luxor - Nile Cruise
This morning we fly to Luxor in Upper Egypt. Here we'll explore the fascinating Karnak Temple, dedicated to the Pharaoh Amun, and once linked to Luxor Temple by an Avenue of Sphinxes. (B/L/D) Embark Cruise: This afternoon we board our Nile River cruise ship.
6 Nile Cruise
Our first stop today is the Valley of the Kings. We'll be able to descend into some of the tombs to see examples of the elaborate and astonishingly well-preserved hieroglyphic paintings. We'll then discover the Temple of Hatshepsut and the Colossi of Memnon. (B/L/D)
7 Nile Cruise
This morning we visit the magnificent Temple of Horus, dedicated to the Falcon God. This beautiful ancient temple is one of the best-preserved in Egypt. We'll then cruise to the riverside Temple of Kom Ombo, dedicated to the gods Sobek and Haroeris, before continuing to Aswan. Tonight we'll experience a traditional galabeya party on board. (B/L/D)
8 Nile Cruise
Special Experience: An early start this morning to cross the desert. Our destination is the incredible twin temples of Abu Simbel. The temples were originally carved out of the mountainside during the reign of Pharaoh Ramses II in the 13th century BC, as a monument to himself and his queen, Nefertari. This afternoon we'll relax on a cruise along the Nile on board a traditional felucca. (B/L/D)
9 Nile Cruise - Aswan - Cairo
Disembark Cruise: We disembark and explore Aswan. Highlights of our sightseeing include the High Dam, the picturesque Temple of Isis on Philae Island, and the Unfinished Obelisk. We'll then return to Cairo and enjoy a group dinner to farewell Egypt. (B/D)
10 Cairo - Tel Aviv - Haifa

16 Aqaba (red Sea) - Wadi Rum
Today we drive north to stunning Wadi Rum. We'll head out for an exciting jeep tour, guided by local Bedouin tribesmen, and then take a camel ride through the uniquely shaped landscape. We'll spend the night in a Bedouin style desert camp under a blanket of stars. (B/L/D)
17 Wadi Rum - Petra
On our way to Petra we'll stop to visit “Little Petra”. With a history dating back some 9,000 years, it is one of the oldest archaeological sites in the Middle East. (B/D) Special Experience: Discover the magic of Petra by night as the rock city is lit by more than 1,000 candles. Enjoy Jordanian music and Bedouin mint tea whilst admiring the spectacular view.
18 Petra
Today we revisit the famous Lost City of Petra. Carved into the sheer rock face by the Nabataeans more than 2,000 years ago, it was an important junction for the silk and spice trade routes. “Egypt, Israel & Jordan with Bunnik Tours”
- NSW, Australia Mar 2019

Bunnik Tours' information needs to be updated. Poor organisation on the Alexandria trip and optional tours, muddled information. Local tour guides seemed under pressure to complete the itinerary and it was different to our itinerary.

Reply from Bunnik:
Dear Michele,

Thank your for providing constructive feedback regarding your time in the Middle East with us.

I would like to deeply apologise that you experienced poor organisation during your time in Alexandria and that there were discrepancies between your and the guide's itinerary. Please know that we take all feedback seriously and our product team is investigating this further with our partners in the Middle East to ensure all itinerary details are in order.

I hope that despite the issues mentioned above you enjoyed your time in Egypt, Israel and Jordan overall and that you've come home with many lasting memories from your time in these amazing destinations.

Increased tourist numbers everywhere impacted on where we went and slowed down access sometimes. There were also some exceptionally long waits at a couple of airports which adversely affected the program. Our group numbered 19. As there were three countries and three guides, one rating can't apply as two of the guides were really good and one was not that great with organization...read more
