HELLO BALI! You made it! Prepare yourself for the next 10 days of pure Boujee Bali Bliss! Check-in to our stunning hotel and have the afternoon to spend as you please. Chill by the pool, explore Seminyak’s beautiful beaches and cafes or hit up some of Asia’s best beach clubs for a mojito or two. Whatever you fancy, it’s the start of an unforgettable 10 days, so enjoy every minute. In the evening we meet up and get to know your new TruFam who we’ll be spending the next 10 days with! Start as strangers, leave as TruFamily.. And so it begins! We head out for a welcome dinner and see where the night takes us..
Cocktails, Clifftops & Insta hotspots! Wake up you’re in paradise, no really you are. The hotel is stunning, the views? Beautiful, the company? Couldn’t be better. This morning we’re heading off to the famous Uluwatu cliff temple to learn about traditional Balinese culture before heading to one of the most Instagram worthy spots for lunch. Strike a pose, snap those pics and you’re in for at least 100 likes or so. You’re welcome. After lunch, head down to the pool for afternoon cocktails or a quick dip! Located 50,000ft on a clifftop you’ll most certainly have your head in the clouds, maybe it’s the back to back cocktails or the high altitude. Who knows. We arrive back to the hotel around late afternoon before heading out for a group dinner... Did someone say more cocktails? (B)
NEXT STOP UBUD BABY! This morning we bid farewell to our tropical dream, Seminyak, it’s an early check out as we head to Ubud. We’re doing Bali big, like big big. So, of course, we have to visit the iconic rice terraces on the way, if you’ve ever researched Bali you would have seen layers of emerald green, pristine rice terraces in the background of every photo so of course, it’s an Instagram must visit. We travel in style to Ubud so sit back, relax, play a game of Uno or eye spy on the way. Ubud is a small zen kinda town with good vibes and unbelievable food. Grab an early night as in the morning, we’re climbing a volcano for sunrise! Yeah, we’re coming in HOT! (B)
Bubbles & Volcano Treks Rise and shine, It’s an early one, grab a large coffee, and we’re on our way. You may not be a professional mountain climber or volcano hiking pro, but sunrise at the top of Mount Batur is like no other. It’s around 2 hours to the top where we’ll stop and watch the golden orange sunrise break through the clouds. In the words of Leonardo Dicaprio in Titanic - I’m on top of the world! How can we make this epic moment any better? Well, a glass of prosecco wouldn’t go a miss! We’re popping bottles at the top as we raise a glass to celebrate our climb! An absolute bucket list ticking experience, afterwards we head back down to our stunning hotel and arrive around 10am. Have some free time to catch some zzz’s in the afternoon before we have a well-deserved massage. (B)
FOODIE HEAVEN Today we take the Bali experience to the next level. What do we love in the world more than travelling? FOOD! For all you foodies today will be a dream. Yeah, that’s right we’re taking you to the local cooking school where we’re dicing, slicing and cooking up a storm as we learn to master traditional Balinese cuisine. Gordon Ramsey eat your heart out. The afternoon is free for you to explore Ubud as you wish, visit the world-famous monkey forest, explore the local markets, visit Bali Street Mums (an amazing charity we support) or grab a massage! In the evening we’re heading out to see a traditional dance at Ubud Palace. (B)
Next stop Nusa Lembongan! Never heard of it? Well, we’re about to blow your flip flops off! Nusa Lembongan is a part of 3 small Islands off Bali’s coast with blue ocean views and golden sandy beaches, so some might say Nusa Lembongan is bliss and well, we’d have to agree. We leave the hotel early and catch the ferry over to our next destination. Take some time to chill in the hotel before we try our hand at stand up paddleboarding, we don’t do average, so we’re paddleboarding through the mangroves! An unforgettable experience, let your troubles melt away as you immerse yourself in rich greenery and calming waters. Views on views. In the evening we catch the golden orange sunset before enjoying a group dinner at one of Nusa Lembongan’s best restaurants. (B)
Wake up an Sea-ze the day! Today we’re jumping on our very own private boat. We’re island hopping around the Nusa’s. We’re snorkelling the crystal clear waters. Grab that GoPro because this is an experience you don’t want to miss. Swimming with gentle majestic manta rays. These friendly giants can reach a wingspan of up to 29 foot, wild right? Well yeah, it is pretty wild. Although big in size, they’re harmless and swimming amongst them in their natural habitat is up there with bucket list experiences. Go Manta Rays! We spend our day swimming in the crystal clear waters under the glorious sun. Perfection. We head to Nusa Penida and Kelingking Beach Viewpoint, home to undoubtedly one of the best view points in all of Asia. Look out at shimmering blue oceans, luscious distant greenery and the white sandy beaches below. If you’re looking for places to caption on insta ‘ All you need is a change of scenery or another day in paradise’ well you’re in the right place. We head back and have some time to chill and explore Nusa Lembongan some more before grabbing cocktails and a group dinner. (B)
Surfing & Scenic views We heard seawater cures any and all hangovers? Right? Well, today we’re riding some waves! We’re having our very own surf lesson just off Lembongan! Shaka’s up, time to ride some gnarly waves. Well, unless you're the Tony Hawk of the seas, you may not be riding the waves, but if you can stand up for more than 2 seconds, well, that’s pretty impressive. After a morning of living our best surfer life. We head to Nusa Ceningan where we stop at the stunning turquoise blue lagoon and white sandy beach viewpoint for 10/10 untouched scenic views. We grab a delicious lunch before heading to the iconic Mahana Point. It's a beauty, we cross back via the iconic yellow bridge! (B)
Goodbye Nusa we’re heading back to Seminyak, where our wanderlusting story began. We catch the ferry back to Bali where we have the afternoon to do as we please. Hey, you’re practically a local now, so hit up the beach clubs, check out the markets for a snazzy shirt or watch the world go by on the beach. Whatever you fancy, it’s our last full day, so it’s only right we go big. We meet up in the evening for a farewell dinner, hey we’re not crying you are. One last night to paint the town red, well not literally but we may order a few too many espresso martinis with dinner.. Whoops. The evening is ours for the taking. So whatever you fancy doing, your travel ninja is on hand to go with the flow. (B)
Chilled check out Today we part ways, au revoir, adios. But although all good things must come to an end, you’re a part of the TruFam now which means the memories will last forever. We’ve specifically chosen our hotels and suppliers to ensure every moment read more is tailored to a flashpacker lifestyle from the rooms to the surroundings, we stay in paradise.
WHAT TYPE OF TRANSPORTATION IS USED?
We’ve perfected our Flashpacker tour for maximum comfort and minimum travel times. We use private minivans for a lot of our transport or if it’s a long way, we’ll catch a flight. No stress.
HOW MUCH SPENDING MONEY WOULD YOU SUGGEST WE BRING?
Everyone spends differently whilst on holiday, some buy 30 souvenirs to bring home to family and friends or decide that the first round at the bar is on them. It can really depend, before you go we will read more send you details of the average costs of drinks, meals out and local living in each destination so you can roughly work out how you’d be spending depending on your habits.
WHAT LUGGAGE DO YOU RECOMMEND? BACKPACK VS SUITCASE.
We would always recommend a backpack. Suitcases are not ideal for Asia as even if your suitcase has wheels it's very hard to pull it across the beach. If it's your first time with a backpack, you’ll never look back after.
