Honeymoon Harbour is a picturesque and secluded beach on Gun Cay, and as the name suggests, it's perfect for romantics. It also provides incredible snorkelling with crystal-clear waters and vibrant marine life. Cruise around the SS Sapona Shipwreck to see a piece of maritime history. Initially commissioned for World War I but not completed until after, the SS Sapona was sold and used as a floating warehouse during the prohibition. It ran aground during a hurricane and was then used as target practice for U.S. fighter planes during the second world war. The small Virgin Gorda island, less than 22 square kilometres, is feted for its unspoiled beaches. Regarded as one of the British Virgin Island's most beautiful, it's said that Christopher Columbus named it the ‘Fat Virgin' because the island's profile looks like a woman lying on her side. Known as the Pompei of the Caribbean, Montserrat was left covered in volcanic ash after the Soufrière Hills Volcano reawakened in 1995 after 400 years of dormancy and erupted continuously for two years. A French overseas territory known for its low-key lifestyle, Îles des Saintes is a cluster of islets off the southern coast of Guadeloupe. It's made up of a miniature volcanic archipelago of idyllic islands, five of which remain uninhabited. Commonly known as Les Saintes, the island is one of Guadeloupe's crown jewels. Encapsulated by reef, the isles offer the best of both worlds, French sophistication and the funky relaxed style for which the Caribbean is renowned. Snorkellers can expect to spot parrot fish, sunfish, scrawled cowfish, groupers, and more.
