Kia ora! Touching down in New Zealand's largest city, you'll make your own way to our centrally located hostel and settle in.
This evening you'll meet up with the rest of your travel crew and excited for all the adventures to come in Aotearoa.
First up we're stopping at Waitomo, home of the world-famous glowworm caves. We'll take a guided tour and explore this labyrinth of underground rivers and watch the resident glowworms do their thing.
This afternoon we tick off another highlight as we head to Hobbiton to wander the real-life lush pastures of the Shire as featured in The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. After exploring the set and learning all about movie magic, we'll enjoy a drink at the Green Dragon Inn before departing for Rotorua.
Waking up to the whiff of sulphur, today you'll definitely know you're in Rotorua! We'll visit the naturally heated waters of Kerosene Creek where you'll get to take a dip, as well one of New Zealand's most magnificent geothermal wonderlands – Wai o Tapu, featuring dramatic geysers & bubbling mud.
This morning you'll have some free time to maybe try some zorbing or the skyline luge.
In the evening we'll go to the Mitai Māori village for an introduction to Māori culture. It doesn't get more authentic than this!
Get your cameras out as we head to Taupo, a lakefront town right in the heart of the North.
Tonight we’ve got something special lined up - a sail across the lake. The majestic scenery and the maori rock carvings will wow us.
This morning we’ll check out the epic Huka Falls, a spine-tingling torrent of icy water thundering down from the Waikato River. After witnessing the raw power of Mother Nature, you’ll then have some free time when you can skydive or bungee jump!
Today we'll head to New Zealand's capital city, Wellington! Dive into the city's energy by exploring its charming cafes, indulging in delicious bites at top-notch restaurants or kicking back and soaking up the laid-back vibes of the evening.
Get ready to explore the best of Wellington with a city orientation tour! Hop aboard the iconic cable cars for stunning views, then dive into the rich history and vibrant culture at Te Papa Tongarewa Museum—ranked among the world's best museums.
You've seen the North Island, now its time to explore the South Island! After a short included flight you'll land in Christchurch.
This evening you'll meet up with the rest of your new travel crew and get excited for all the adventures to come!
Discover the vibrant city of Christchurch, where history comes alive at every turn, before we make our way to the breathtaking beauty of Lake Tekapo!
Today we’ll take a hike up Mt John where we’ll get 360-degree views of the Southern Alps before soaking our tired muscles in some hot pools.
Later, our team will help make sure you’ve got everything sorted for living and working in NZ, and get you signed up to our NZ Jobs Program.
This morning we'll make our way to Wanaka.
This afternoon we’ll stretch our limbs hiking for unforgettable views of Aoraki/Mt Cook, the highest mountain in New Zealand.
Today we check out all Wanaka has to offer, including going kayaking on the beautiful Lake Wanaka and discovering the famous Wanaka Tree.
Later, we'll tackle the Mount Iron hike, where we'll be rewarded with breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, including the Pisa Range and the Upper Clutha Basin.
Today we’ll travel to the beautiful city of Queenstown. We'll have some time to explore this epic city.
Jumping on a fjord cruise, we'll experience the spellbinding combination of towering peaks, forested cliffs, resident seals, and plummeting waterfalls up close and personal. Pick your jaw up off the floor, this is mother nature at her finest!
Today we'll get a splash of adrenaline with a jet-boat ride. Feel the thrill as the highly skilled driver keeps things pumping with 360-degree spins and speeds more than 80km/h.
Tonight we'll get the gang together for our farewell dinner and final night out on the town! Time to see what this backpacker hub is all about after dark!
