Today we travel to the amazing Lovina in the north of Bali. Along the way we’ll visit fascinating temples, epic waterfalls and see beautiful rice paddies.
Small Change: Discover the Jatiluwih Rice Fields with a local guide dedicated to preserving Bali’s farming heritage, support the locals by purchasing snacks at Nadia & Willy's snack shack, and taste coffee at a local Luwak.
We’ll visit a local family to learn the art of basket weaving and gain a unique glimpse into traditional Balinese life. We’ll also step aboard a traditional outrigger boat to cruise the coastline in search of wild dolphins. Later it’s time to relax - the infinity pool at our luxury resort is the perfect place to unwind!
Small Change: Support the local community by visiting Gede’s family home, where your experience helps preserve Balinese traditions and provides income for local families. Then head to Lovina to see dolphins in their natural environment, with every effort made to protect their wellbeing.
As Gili T has no motorised vehicles we explore the island by bicycle today, relaxing on some white sandy beaches and taking in a stunning sunset!
Small Change: Groups that are in Gili T on a Friday will have the option to join Gili Eco Trust for a beach clean up.
Today you’ll experience the famous Monkey Forest. A fascinating temple set in the rainforest and home to hundreds of wild monkeys you can get up close and personal with! We’ll then learn the secrets of preparing delicious Balinese food with a traditional cooking class.
Small Change: Experience Ubud’s vibrant markets, with local flavours, colours and culture. You'll also step into a Sacred Monkey Forest, for a respectful wildlife encounter rooted in conservation and Balinese tradition, before experiencing a local cooking class.
