Le Havre, seaport and city, is located at the mouth of the River Seine in the Normandy region of northern France. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage site, with a substantial part of the city being redeveloped following significant damage in World War II. It’s uniquely positioned among the white cliffs and soaring waves of northern France, and is a gateway to an array of impressive sights and picturesque villages in Normandy.

A local shuttle service runs from the port into the city centre of Le Havre for a small fee. Alternatively, taxis will most likely be available from the port. The train station of Le Havre is around a 30-minute walk from the cruise terminal and Paris is 200 km (124 miles) southeast, reached in about 2.5–3 hours.

Whichever ship you decide on you can choose from a refreshing variety of pools and whirlpools - each heated to just the right temperature. Queen Mary 2 offers two outdoor pools and her Pavilion Pool has a retractable roof so you can enjoy a dip whatever the weather and her luxurious Spa Pool is a treat.

To reach London from Southampton, you can take a train from Southampton Central (the station is within a short taxi ride from the cruise terminals) to London Waterloo, with the journey taking around 1.5 hours - that's approximately 128 km's (80 miles). Alternatively if you're travelling by coach or have arranged a private transfer, please allow around 2 hours for the journey.
