Itinerary

Departs: 18:00

Known as the 'cruise capital of the world', Port Miami is is considered to be the world’s busiest cruise ship port. Whether arriving or departing, aboard your cruise liner you can take in the superb view of the Miami skyline.

This multicultural city where the sun rules supreme is more than just a cruise port. Palm-lined causeways stretch across luminous Biscayne Bay as Miami rises in a gleam of glass towers, Art Deco curves, and tropical colour. Along Ocean Drive in South Beach, pastel facades from the 1930s glow beneath the Florida sun, while nearby Little Havana hums with domino parks, cigar shops, and the aroma of Cuban coffee. Beyond the shoreline, calm waters, yacht marinas, and breezy promenades frame a city shaped by Caribbean rhythms and sunlit coastal glamour.

Your boutique hotel at sea, the Azamara Onward® is a mid-sized ship with a deck plan that’s intimate but never crowded, and offers everything modern voyagers are looking for - plus some unexpected extras. Seven restaurants, cafes, and lounges, a refreshing pool, sun-drenched decks, a revitalizing spa…the list goes on.

Dutch influence still lingers on this balmy Caribbean island, part of the former Netherlands Antilles until its independence in 1986. Aruba is a contrast, the island's arid interior is dotted with cactus and windswept divi-divi trees while secluded coves and sandy beaches make up its coast.

The Panama Canal, a marvel of engineering, links the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans, facilitating global maritime trade. Stretching approximately 80km/50mi, this intricate waterway features three locks - Miraflores, Pedro Miguel, and Gatun - that elevate and lower vessels to overcome the variation in sea levels.

The Miraflores Locks' visitor center offers an insightful experience, allowing observers to witness massive ships navigating the locks. The Gatun Locks, a crucial part of the canal, showcase the impressive process of raising and lowering water levels to enable the passage of ships.

Traversing the Panama Canal provides a firsthand glimpse into the intricate operations that have shaped international shipping for over a century.

Arrives: 02:00 Departs: 17:00

Panama is a cosmopolitan, dynamic city, where the modern and the traditional come together to create a cheerful and relaxed atmosphere. Three main sections make up the city, the historical ruins of the 16th century called Panama Viejo, the 17th century Spanish Colonial Casco Viejo and the modern skyscraper city.

Offering panoramic views of Panama City's skyline, the causeway is also home to the Smithsonian Institute of Tropical Research. Beautiful Croatia 2 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2025
As a first time Azamara guest we were absolutely thrilled with our cruise content and the itinerary provided by Azamara. The staff and service was outstanding and we wouldn’t hesitate to do another Azamara cruise.
13 Best Of The Mediterranean Voyage with Azamara & Global Journeys   3 , QLD, Australia, Sep 2025
First ever cruise for me and booked with some apprehension. However, with the very professional guidance from Georgie at Global Journeys in helping to select Azamara Outbound as our choice for what was hoped to be an adventure of a lifetime, everything was beyond expectations. For anyone 50 plus, considering a cruise where you don't want a huge ship, read more and can meet some very lovely fellow travellers, Azamara comes out with top ratings for me. Super cabin, super service, no onboard extras and plenty of help if you feel overwhelmed. Ignoring advice from Global Journeys, we booked sights at every stop. Not a good idea as it can be exhausting! Take time to relax & enjoy all that Azamara has to offer, and listen to those who have loads of experience when it comes to cruising. The Med is a long way from home, but the 13 day Best Of The Mediterranean Voyage with Azamara & Global Journeys was worth every dollar.
10 Action packed days on Dalmatian and Amalfi Coast 1 , WA, Australia, Aug 2025
We have booked with Global Journeys before and will again, the service is great. Would highly recommend Azamara Dalmatian & Amalfi Coast cruise, the smaller ships are great, they can get into ports larger ships can't. With a maximum of 700 passengers you can get off for excursions quickly, as the staff are well organised and efficient. There is a great read more range of food available, whether you choose the dinning room or the casual buffet.
Fantastic cruise 1 , QLD, Australia, Jul 2025
This was my 5th cruise with Azamara and it lived up to my expectations. From the crew to the ports visited it was all I could wish for. Tracey Standing is an outstanding travel agent ensuring everything was in place and ran smoothly. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, experienced travel agent.
Azamara Mediterranean Cruise 1 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2025
A lovely cruise, beautiful locations. Azamara seems to be trying to paint themselves as a luxury cruise and whilst good, they are not quite there. Cruise is very reasonably priced but travellers need to be aware that excursions, special dining etc are extra. Our cabin was quite small, especially the shower but the service was excellent. Considerable read more variety of food available, staff prepared to accommodate food intolerances. Excellent service in restaurants. Onboard credits available for most, especially frequent customers.
Bucket list cruise   1 , Qld, Australia, Nov 2024
Ron and I went off on the azamara in the Caribbean to tick off another item on our bucket list. The cruise didn’t disappoint. Loved to places we went and the boat and staff excellent. Only criticism is smoking on the boat right near the pool bar 😝 Thanks Georgie for everything ❤️
Land of fire and ice   5 , WA, Australia, Jul 2024
Perfect cruise around Iceland with Azamara Onward. Everything was perfect. The ship was a perfect size to negotiate the fjords and tricky harbours safely. The itinerary around Iceland featured key and high value ports. Highly recommend.
Excellent itinerary 8 , VIC, Australia, Sep 2023
We chose this particular cruise because of the itinerary visiting the various islands of the Mediterranean we hadn’t been to before. We enjoyed the open seating in the main restaurant and the food was excellent. Our cabin was good although the shower cubicle was very small.
