Itinerary

Our Qantas flight departs from Sydney this morning. Arrive on Lord Howe Island, where you will be transferred to your accommodation.

This afternoon enjoy a curator's tour of the Island's Museum, followed by a lecture by Dr Ian Hutton - An introduction to the Island's geology, flora, fauna, history & walks. Stay Five Nights: Leanda Lei Apartments or similar

Today's island exploration will include a bus tour to see the many landmarks and learn about Lord Howe Island's history. You will also have some free time to explore the island on your own.

This evening we will enjoy a BBQ dinner on the Island shoreline. (B/L/D)

Spend this morning relaxing, then after lunch we set off to North Bay. Travelling by boat, you'll arrive at a pristine beach on the northern tip of the island, inaccessible by land. The waters here are a snorkeller's paradise; rich in colourful corals, turtles, stingrays and an estimated 500 species of fish. The birdlife is also spectacular. On a short nature walk, lookout for colonies of sooty terns, brown noddies, black noddies, as well as red-tailed tropicbirds and waders at low tide. (B/L)

This morning, make your way to Little Island, located at the base of Lord Howe's mountains and an easy walk along the southwestern shoreline. Here we'll soak up the spectacular scenery of this World Heritage listed site.

This afternoon, take a glass-bottom boat on a discovery of the marine life supported by the world's most southerly coral reef and explore Blackburn Island, a small uninhabited island in the lagoon. (B/L)

This morning join your Botanical Guide for a walk to the Valley of the Shadows and Clear Place, where you will witness the tall palm forest, massive banyan trees and an array of seabirds. After lunch we walk to Old Settlement Bay.

Later this afternoon, join us for a guided tour of Lord Howe Island's Brewery & Nursery followed by a pizza dinner at the brewery. (B/L/D)

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your return Qantas flight to Sydney. (B)
