Welcome to Basel, Switzerland's third-largest city. After embarkation, your ship departs Basel and sets course for Strasbourg. Golf in the heart of Alsace: Le Kempferhof Golf
During the night, your ship quietly departs Switzerland and follows the Rhine into the heart of Alsace in southern France. As you enjoy breakfast on board, you arrive in Strasbourg, celebrated for its romantic old town and its role as one of Europe's foremost political capitals, home to the Council of Europe and the European Parliament. Today, an exclusive experience awaits: a visit to one of France's most distinguished golf clubs. Just 15 minutes from Strasbourg, Le Kempferhof unfolds across 85 hectares of serene, beautifully landscaped countryside, offering a refined setting for an exceptional round of golf.
Le Kempferhof Golf: Set amid the picturesque landscape of Alsace, Le Kempferhof Golf Course unfolds across pristine natural surroundings. Opened in 1990 and designed by the renowned American golf architect Robert von Hagge, the 18-hole course is gracefully embedded among centuries-old oaks, beeches and poplars. Immaculately maintained fairways, 13 strategically placed water hazards, generously contoured greens and impressive bunkers create a varied and rewarding round. Time and again, magnificent views open up to the elegant clubhouse—once an 18th-century hunting lodge—and to the Château-Hôtel, built in 1865 and inspired by Gaudí through its architect Jean de Dartein. Thanks to clearly visible hazards, the course remains highly enjoyable and accessible, even for less experienced golfers. From Speyer's past to St. Leon-Rot's fairways
After breakfast, you arrive in Speyer, one of Germany's oldest cities and an important centre of power during the Middle Ages. The city's rich history provides an evocative setting for the day. In the morning, a comfortable transfer takes you directly to the renowned Golf Club St. Leon-Rot near Heidelberg.
While you enjoy your round on one of the club's outstanding courses, your ship continues its journey and reaches Mannheim in the afternoon, where you rejoin the vessel. The remainder of the afternoon is at your leisure. Explore Mannheim on a relaxed city stroll or unwind on board and reflect on the day's experiences. During the night, it is time to cast off once more as your ship sets course for Rüdesheim.
Golf Club St. Leon-Rot: Located near Heidelberg, the Golf Club St. Leon-Rot, opened in 1997, ranks among Germany's most prestigious golf destinations. The club is a member of the Leading Golf Courses of Germany and has been an official European Tour Destination since 2012. The St. Leon Course, designed by English architect Dave Thomas, follows the style of a classic links course and recalls Scottish and Irish golf landscapes with its natural shaping and distinctive water features. The Rot Course, created by architect Hannes Schreiner, preserves large sections of the original river floodplain and combines a striking natural setting with demanding, well-balanced holes. Among the club's celebrated signature holes are the island green on the Rot Course and the island fairway on St. Leon—both leaving a lasting impression on every round.Golf above the Rhine at Golf Club Jakobsberg
In the morning, you arrive in the picturesque town of Rüdesheim, renowned for its excellent wines. Later in the morning, you visit the prestigious Jakobsberg Golf Club, where breathtaking views unfold across the surrounding UNESCO-listed Upper Middle Rhine Valley. In the afternoon, you rejoin your ship in Koblenz, one of Germany's oldest cities. Its historic old town, well-kept riverside promenades and the impressive Ehrenbreitstein Fortress lend the city a distinctive atmosphere shaped by history and way of life.
Jakobsberg Golf Resort: The Jakobsberg Golf Resort is set on a high plateau in the heart of the UNESCO-listed Upper Middle Rhine Valley, between Koblenz and Mainz, surrounded by one of Germany's most impressive cultural landscapes. Designed in 1994 by Wolfgang Jarsombek, inspired by the legendary American architect Robert Trent Jones Jr., the 18-hole course offers breathtaking views over the Rhine Valley, the surrounding vineyards and the distant hills of the Westerwald, Hunsrück and Taunus. Strongly contoured fairways, generous bunkering, numerous water hazards and fast, undulating greens provide a sporting yet fair challenge. Signature holes include the par-3 13th, overlooking the largest bend of the Rhine, and the 16th, offering equally spectacular river views.Scenic cruising along the Moselle River
In the early morning hours, your ship departs Koblenz and sets course for the Moselle, one of Europe's most romantic river landscapes. Around midday, you arrive in the picturesque town of Cochem, idyllically nestled among steep vineyard slopes. Lovingly restored half-timbered houses and inviting wine taverns encourage you to linger. Enjoy a tasting of the Moselle region's distinctive wines and soak in the atmosphere of this long-established wine-growing area.
Later, you may visit the Reichsburg Cochem, rising high above the town and shaping its skyline, where sweeping views across the Moselle Valley await. In the evening, your ship continues its relaxed journey towards Cologne.
From cathedral spires to Gut Velderhof greens
You spend the morning in the Rhine metropolis of Cologne, a city that has shaped life along the river for more than 2,000 years. Early in the morning, your ship is moored in the heart of the city, close to the famous cathedral whose twin spires have defined the skyline for centuries. After breakfast, you set out for a special highlight of the day: a visit to the peacefully situated Golf & Country Club Gut Velderhof. Here, you enjoy your round in a relaxed atmosphere, surrounded by nature, while your ship continues downstream towards Düsseldorf, where you rejoin the vessel in the afternoon.
Golf & Country Club Gut Velderhof: Set quietly within a protected floodplain landscape framed by expansive woodlands, Golf Club Velderhof offers varied challenges for golfers of all skill levels. The championship course, designed by Dieter R. Sziedat, follows the ancient lines once carved into the land by the Rhine itself. Fast greens, wide fairways, strategically placed bunkers and engaging water hazards—bordered by picturesque streams and biotopes—combine to create a harmonious and rewarding golfing experience in natural surroundings.Canals, countryside and a perfect finale
As the crowning finale of your cruise, you arrive in the Dutch capital, Amsterdam. In the morning, you have the opportunity to discover the city on a combined city tour and canal cruise. Gliding along the famous canals, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, you experience Amsterdam from a uniquely charming perspective.
In the afternoon, a choice of excursions awaits. Explore the flat, expansive countryside surrounding Amsterdam on an e-bike tour, or opt for a visit to the traditional village of Zaanse Schans, where historic windmills, old craft workshops and a cheese tasting offer a vivid impression of rural Holland.
