This Advent on the Rhine cruise was a wonderful and relaxing way to experience the holiday season. The itinerary was well planned, the scenery along the Rhine was beautiful, and the Christmas markets were charming and festive. The accommodations were comfortable, the food was consistently good, and the crew was friendly and attentive throughout the read more journey. Everything felt well organized and truly worry-free, allowing us to simply enjoy the experience. I would absolutely travel this way again and would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy, enriching European holiday adventure.
Cruised with Amadeus from Strasbourg to Nuremberg. My cabin was great and all of the crew were friendly and took the time to get to know me. The food was wonderful. The itinerary could use some tweaking as we often got to a town either before or after the Christmas markets had closed. Sometimes we only had an hour in a town before we had to get back read more to the ship. Nina at Global Journeys was very good to deal with.

Everything went off like clockwork. The trip was fabulous! Some recommendations: Transfers between boat and airport were pricey. Paid approximately $130 for return trip to airport when I could have taken an Uber for $35. Upon arrival we had to sit in the airport for 5 hours waiting for our transfer because we couldn’t get on the boat any earlier. read more I didn’t use Global Journeys to schedule the flight, so that may have been the issue. Would use Kellene Roberts again. Very professional and responsive! Thank you Kellene!
Absolutely loved the cruise. The accommodation was spacious, clean and inviting. Food was truly 5 star quality as was the service. I gained several pounds due to my inability to curtail my food input. 😃I cannot praise all the staff enough from our servers at meal times to reception and room cleaners. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The tours we read more chose were enjoyable and well managed. The other guests we met added to our trip as they too were very nice.Thank you Amadeus and Global Journeys for the smooth passage from booking to departure and I would 100% book with you again.
Global Journeys offered the most economical access to the destination. The cruise was staffed by professional and experienced personnel and our budget cabin was quite comfortable. Meals were delicious and appropriately portioned. We had a few quibbles with access to bikes— only electric models were offered, too big and heavy for senior ladies- but read more we were pleased with the public spaces onboard and access to the destinations in ports. Our travel coordinator, Nina, gamely responded to all our many preparatory questions and negotiated ably with the Amadeus organization.
Isabella is top notch. I cannot say enough good things about her. She was able to pull a very last-minute trip together for me. Isabella went above and beyond. Everything was seamless and without flaw. I would definitely use her again and highly recommend her.

Christmas Cruise on the Danube

I had a wonderful magical white Xmas sailing the river Danube on ship Amadeus Cara during December Xmas time. The ship was beautifully decorated for Xmas and thoroughly enjoyed the history and culture of each town we visited. I also wandered through the Xmas markets at each town we visited, the smells and atmosphere of Christmas was abundant. I sailed read more through Passau, Linz, Salzburg, durnstein, Vienna and Bratislava. The food and drinks onboard the ship was plentiful and beautifully presented with 3-4 course meals for each breakfast, lunch and dinner with themed cocktails for each country.
The tour guides were wonderful and the crew on board were excellent and all spoke fluent English. The 160 guests were wonderful and met English, Canadian, American, Australians on board. The shore excursions were excellent and a wealth of so much history and knowledge dating back to 1200 centuries. It was such a fantastic time. Thank you so much Georgie for booking this trip for me and going out of your way for making it a perfect Xmas holiday. I would definitely recommend the Xmas market cruise and I will definitely be booking future trips with Georgie again.

Fantastic cruise along Danube - we were a group of 10 and loved the modern ship- excellent food and service - could not fault this. Off shore excursions were planned we did some but enjoyed looking around on our own. Could not fault this - will definitely cruise with this company again.

First of all, Hannah was wonderful in helping us organise this trip. The Global Journeys' booking system is also very systematic and informative.
The Amadeus cruise left much to be desired. Due to heavy rains in the Rhone River, we were anchored at Lyon and then at Viviers for three days each. All excursions were arranged from these two places. So, read more we hardly cruised but stayed on the ship for most part. Amadeus cruises need to consider making a number of changes to provide better experience for guests. I have made those suggestions directly to them. The following rating is for the cruise and not for Global Journeys.

We would have to say that we could NOT fault the ship Amados Riva. The standard of the food in the restaurant and the buffet was of high standard and quality like a 5 star venue. The rooms were beautiful and the ship was new and made you feel special. The Staff was very friendly and extremely helpful, in all we would not hesitate to recommend this read more company to travel with, and we would be happy to book our next cruise again with them, and booking with Global Journeys also made it smooth. They always replied to emails promptly and they were easy to keep in contact with. A Happy Traveler!
