Classic Italy, Small Groups

Tauck’s 14-day Classic Italy, Small Groups is a grand Italian holiday, in their small group style range. Averaging 24 Tauck guests, you stay at small, chic hotels in the heart of Sorrento, Rome, Venice and Florence. Avoid the crowds with a Tauck Exclusive after hours tour in the Vatican Museums and time to really digest Michelangelo’s vast painted drama on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.

Marvel at the blue expanse of the Mediterranean as you traverse the Amalfi Coast and cruise along the shores of Cinque Terre. In Venice, you will enjoy the lavish halls of the Doge’s Palace before another Tauck exclusive after-hours visit to St. Mark's Basilica. Bypass queues with your pre-paid tickets to explore the haunting ruins of the Colosseum, immerse yourself in the passion of Renaissance scenes in the Uffizi, and revel in the panorama of rolling vineyards from the heights of Orvieto. Wander in your own time through a country village under the Tuscan sun, and savour the first taste of Umbrian cuisine, unhurried and unherded.

Vatican Museum Frescoes

In 2019, if you pre-stay or arrive early in Sorrento, Tauck are offering an additional Optional Sightseeing Tour of the Island of Capri on Day 1. This reasonably priced add on to your tour includes a private transfer from Tauck’s hotel to the pier in Sorrento and back, your return transportation by hydrofoil from Sorrento to Capri, a tour of Capri by minibus and funicular and a full day with a local guide. The tour includes visits to the island’s main towns of Anacapri and Capri, lunch and weather permitting, a visit to the Blue Grotto.

Tauck Exclusive Ferragamo Departures are available on selected tours in May, June and September 2019. These special departures include a special evening in Florence featuring a private Ferragamo wine reception on Day 10 in Florence.
