I thoroughly enjoyed this 2 week trip around Turkey. Excellent included and optional activities, acceptable accommodation and overall fantastic value for money. The tour guide was a disappointment however for me this did not detract from the trip as I used the tour more as a means of getting around Turkey as opposed to a guided tour. When I originally booked the tour I was a little hesitant, but once meeting the Topdeck staff and other passengers I felt as though the group immediately clicked and everyone got a long. The tour really was quite good. It was just that it all felt a bit rushed and there was quite a lot of time just on the coach which had not been fully mentioned. It was also disappointing to be joining a tour that was half way through a longer tour without being told.

The company Topdeck is extremely well organised, the tour was flawless, the tour guide great and the driver very skilled. Accomodation and supplied food was of very high standards. Overall the Top Deck tour was an excellent experience with good standard of accomodation, great staff and fellow travellers asnd a well planned itinerary. It would not be possible to see so much for the same price and the same quality in such a short period if I tried to organise this personally - so defiinitely a good option.

The places we went to were amazing but we didn't have enough time to actually enjoy it. It was a good sampler and now I know which cities I would like to visit again. Should advise the tour operator that they should state there is significant walking at a fast pace on this tour. Our friend who had arthritic knees and ankles had a lot of problems during ...read more the walking tours. Even when advised to the tour leader it was said due to the nature of the tour, time is of essence and there is nothing she can do. All in all we had a great time on our tour but I don't believe I would recommend this tour for everyone.

I went on this tour very unsure of what to expect. Turns out it was one of the most amazing experiences in my life! I had a great time on the Topdeck Winter Wonder tour. Our tour director and coach driver were both really friendly and had a great sense of humour. It really set a great tone for the trip. The hotels were better than I expected. While they are advertised as 2 and 3 star with disclaimers about European standards being different to Australian standards, ...read more I found them to be on par with 3 star rooms in Australia. With the exception of the hotel in Florence (limited hot water), I was happy and comfortable in each of the hotels. The lodge on Mt. Rigi was awesome! The hotels weren't always close to the city centre but they were close to transport and there were often drop offs and pick ups made by the driver. The structure of the tour was good. We had two nights nights in each of the main cities and were given free time to explore. I really enjoyed having free time to explore on your own (or with newly made friends!). The one nights stops (Heidelberg and Salzburg) were a little more difficult to explore given the time restrictions but if you have an idea of the places you would like to see before you arrive you'll be fine. There were a range of optionals on offer and each of these were worth the money paid. I particularly enjoyed the t-shirt which we designed on the bus - a great momento of the trip with everyone's name :) I had a great time on the tour. I appreciated the structure where we had a tour of each city and then given time to explore at our own pace. The people on my tour were mostly couples and while they enjoyed a drink at the bar they weren't out to party hard every night. The bus trips were great with games and activities for the longer drives. It was a great way to see all the major sights. If you want to explore the main cities of Europe with a mixture of guided tours, activities and time to explore on your own then this tour is definitely worth considering.
