My husband and I really enjoyed this trip. Our group was over half Aussies, and everyone got along exceptionally well. Our group was very mature, and at 58 I suspect I was the youngest. Insight delivered what they promised. All but 4 of our group took the Rocky Mountaineer option, and really enjoyed it. I could not justify the additional cost for 2 ...read more days, and we had a lovely almost private tour for two days with one other couple, our Tour Director and Coach Driver.

Meals provided were of a very high standard. The extra legroom in the coach was great. Be prepared for some long days with early starts often though to dinner. We were lucky to see both black and grizzly bears. The weather was quite cool for June, glad we were prepared with plenty of warm clothes.

We had a fabulous time, better than either of us hoped that it would be. A great combination of music, history, particularly African American history and food. Good paced tour of the East Coast. Hotels were very good and the tour guide was extremely helpful. Good overall tour of the cities for the time allocated. Fall was a nice time to visit as the foliage was changing colour. The rail trip Via Rail Canada from Jasper to Toronto was not up to the rest of the trip. The air con in our cabin did not work and we had to move to another cabin. The train arrived into Toronto 1/2 hours late which meant we could not visit the local sites and take optional tour. We could not recommend this trip to anyone. Had a great time. Met some very nice people. Heather the tour guide had a great personality and was very knowledgeable. No complaints from us.

We returned from this tour last month, (June 2015 ) our first Insight tour and would highly recommend it. Everything was as promised in the brochure. The tour was through quite a laid back part of U.S. with a rich history and a wonderful musical experience in Memphis, Nashville and New Orleans.

Very happy with the Insight tour. The additional leg room really added comfort. Wifi on the coach was fantastic. Our tour guide Adam Chivers really helped to make our tour, his personality and customer focused communication was very good. Adam's ability to bond a tour group is unique, a diverse group travelled well together.

Excellent main guide. Specialists guides very good. Very comfortable buses and good hotels. Good itinerary, good balance of structured and free time. Optional activities were very good too. We were happy with the tour. Some hotels a bit 'try hard' in the bathrooms making things difficult at times.

Our Rhythms and Flavours tour Chicago to New Orleans was excellent. The interesting places we visited, the excellent and varied hotels, the highlight dinners and our super tour guide, Gordon, all made this tour a memorable experience. Lovely Tour. Very well organised company. Would recommend. Hotels were well positioned. The Tour Guide Daphne went out of her way to make everything run smoothly. Will definitely choose Insight Gold again.

The hotels were very good and very spacious rooms for those of us that were twin sharing and that would have been the majority. The destinations that we went to were well thought out and there was plenty of time and the various sights. The individual guides were great too. The coach was extremely comfortable and our driver was fantastic.

We did not go to the sight of Ground Zero (I apologise, I know its not called that any more) nor did we see the Statue of Liberty very clearly. I find it quite hard to remember what we did do in New York really with the tour apart from Strawberry Fields and the Rockefeller Centre. Luckily we had extra days there to catch up on things we wanted to see. I would absolutely book another trip with Global Journeys again but would probably take a bit more care with the itinerary. Dealing with Georgie who we have not met, has been a joy. Nothing too much trouble and all arrangements efficiently carried out. All flight details perfect, and the Insight Vacation tour of Quebec very very good. Very short, but still an overview of the area, and each night in an excellent centrally placed hotel. We had a great time and were looked after like kings. I would not hesitate to use Insight and Global Journeys again or recommend them to other perspective travellers. We stayed in the same hotels as those paying much more for their tour and visited the same attractions. My only negative comment was the lack of laundry facilities in the 2 night stay ...read more hotels which were 5 star with 5 star prices for their facilities. Getting the laundry done in these facilities were ridiculously expensive to an extent it was cheaper to throw the smaller items away than to clean them (about $100 per average load). Because the tour was 15 days and some like us were travelling for some time before joining the tour laundry facilities are an essential part of the experience, also the restrictions on air baggage leaves most travellers with no option but to do their laundry regularly and the 2 night stays are the only opportunity to send items out. Overall the tour was excellent. Only comment is that the coach tour could have been a day or two shorter, as by doing the train at the end of the coach tour takes a bit away from the train experience.
