Emily Thanks for organising the tour for us. You were very efficient & answered my emails promptly. The driver/guide John Taylor was excellent. I told him about my travel sickness & when there was a seat vacant in the front, invited me to sit there. It is an example to say how he cared about the travellers. With the accommodation, the hotel rooms read more were warm & may need ceiling fans. Most of us felt this. We the travellers are seniors & in future trips good to have a free day in Dunedin just like in Queenstown. This way we can recover/relax as well. It may worth considering as practically all of us felt it was a full on 7 days. Otherwise the trip was perfect & we are glad that we made the trip.
A wonderful tour which gives you a great taste for New Zealand, and all the fantastic sights and delights on offer. A great taster tour, leaving you with the appetite to return. Coach Drivers were all warm, wonderful and caring of all of their passengers. Beware, if you are looking for a restful holiday, coach touring may not be for you, early mornings read more on most days allowed the miles to be covered and the sights to be seen, but a couple of later starts would have been appreciated. If you get the opportunity to have a couple of hours rest and you are feeling weary, take the rest, you will enjoy everything so much more. Coaches were comfortable, clean and the accommodation was very well located.
A fantastic holiday - thanks to Global Journeys for everything being so well organised and running perfectly. Our coach drivers were fantastic and provided us with so much information and made the whole trip really fun. I think I can speak on behalf of our entire coach of travellers to say it was fantastic, so thanks again.

Bay of Islands was the highlight of the tour and not to be missed! Great location. Other accommodation was basic. Wi fi was expensive after the initial offer and slow to download! Excellent coach driver Russell who included some extra information and detours to the trip. Confusion at airport as flights were delayed but taxi company helped us out for read more transfers! Strange sheet policy in New Zealand, no ironing, beds looked unclean???? Good mix of people but joining the group halfway through the tour seemed a disadvantage. Some very interesting museums etc, places you might not thought of visiting were included! We liked the natural, ruggedness of the North Island but as everyone on the tour said the South Island was the best we should like to return to see for ourselves and take advantage of your offer in the near future. Thank you for organising a memorable holiday and would recommend Global Journeys to others.
Absolutely fabulous trip!!!! November weather was perfect. Good company, good food, good accommodation and great scenery. So great I'm doing it all again just in case I missed something. I'll be booking with Global Journeys as I did last time as they provide excellent service as do Grand Pacific. I have the winning combination so then it's up to me to relax and enjoy myself.
Had a great time. Everything went well. Fellow travellers good mix and great fun. Would recommend Grand Pacific as a first class operator . Many thanks to Hannah who made it all so easy.

Had a wonderful time. Dennis, John and Paul the guide and bus drivers were fantastic and the entire tour group got on brilliantly. My husband and I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

I can honestly say this trip was the most enjoyable coach tour I have ever done. What we saw, our excursions, our timetable, accommodation and especially our guide Tony and our two driver/commentators Linda & Mike were faultless. I have already begun to spread the 'word'. Weather could have been better but it was pretty kind to us with light rain only read more when we had to be out in it, and certainly out of your control (pity). (Ed. We are working on it.. :) Thank you so much Yvonne, your capable organising, prompt replies to our queries etc, all added to our enjoyment of the trip.

The tour organisation on ground in NZ was extremely good - accommodation, meals and the bus driver/ tour guide were all excellent. Even when the weather prevented the listed events (Bay of Island, remnants of Cyclone Ida) the bus driver with extensive local knowledge was prepared to work on his day off providing a tour of the local area which was excellent. read more We would recommend this tour to anyone wanting to get a taster of both islands of New Zealand.

Our 19 Day Grand Pacific tour of New Zealand was excellent. Both our drivers, Russell in the North Island and Alex, in the South were very knowledgeable. Knowing the history of towns and areas visited makes it more interesting. Good crowd on the coach. Hotels were excellent, excursions included were good value, food very good. Would thoroughly recommend read more Grand Pacific and Kirby from Global Journeys as our Tour Consultant.
My travel experience with Grand Pacific was outstanding, Steve the coach driver on the South Island went above and beyond his duty to make sure everyone on the coach had a great trip. New Zealand is a great country to visit. I encourage people to travel while they are fit and healthy as adventure is around every corner. I booked with Global Journeys read more and thank Kirby for her attention to detail and the way she was always happy to answer my queries.

Our NZ trip was well organised from beginning to end and both my wife and I would thoroughly recommend this Ultimate tour to any prospective traveller to NZ.
We had an absolutely fantastic holiday, experiencing so many things in the time we had. The accommodation was great, although a couple of the places were a bit tired. The Scenic hotels were unbelievable, especially their bed toppers and pillows. We were disappointed with the service in the restaurant in the Rendezvous Hotel in Auckland which was a shame read more because everything else with the hotel was great. Our tour guide on the North Island was just brilliant, so friendly and informative which made our holiday perfect. The South Island guide was very informative too, certainly knew his job, but we thought lacked a bit of the personal touch. He didnt mix with us much at all and did not drive as smoothly as our other driver, was safe enough but just not as smooth. We all commented that we were very spoiled with our first driver and tended to compare the South Island driver to him. We would recommend this Grand Pacific holiday to anyone and also booking through Global Journeys, the contact and efficiency of Kirby was so good and helpful from start to finish. Well done to both parties.
The Ultimate tour had lots of advantages, when comparing with the large tours. However we found that of the 17 of us, there weren't many like minded travelling companions. It was quite clear that several people wanted to keep to themselves, so there wasn't a lot of interaction within the group, whereas our friends who did the same tour & recommended read more it, had a wonderful time & a lot of fun times. John & I have travelled many places & we loved everything about New Zealand, we just think we were unlucky with some of the group. The tour driver/guide was good & a gentleman. He sometimes talked too much about irrelevant things, like cost of insurances, fuel, weigh bridges etc. etc. but overall he did well. Would we do another small group tour ? Maybe, maybe not. The tour however was great.

We would have given the tour an excellent rating however the Ibis Hotel in Wellington was not up to par with the very the high standard of the accommodation throughout the rest of the tour. Maybe a single night stopover at the Ibis instead of two would be better or perhaps choosing another hotel of a higher standard like the rest for a two night stay. read more On a couple of days we felt there were too many scheduled activities and thought that some of these could have been made optional choices. Coach drivers especially Alex in the South Island component were excellent.
I enjoyed everything on my holiday. There were many things I loved - too many to itemize. The trip was so well organised. Thank you for a wonderful time.

We had the most enjoyable time on our holiday. the breakfast, lunches, and dinners surpassed our expectations. The tours each day started at the advertised time and the driver a (Alex Rollinson) had so much knowledge of the history and modern day information that was forwarded onto all the passengers on the magnificent coach. Alex was a very good driver read more and of course that puts security into the travellers minds and they can relax. The hotels that we stayed at were of an extremely high standard and much enjoyment was had with the 'happy hours' where we could mingle with our fellow travellers. Overall I would recommend this tour for anyone looking for a magnificent journey through the South Island of New Zealand where EVERYTHING is already done for you. Just sit back relax, and take in the scenery and information. Thanks Kirby for organising this trip.

As this was our first coach tour I cannot compare it with others so please bear this in my with my ratings. Overall we very much enjoyed the tour and found it was well organised and paced. Our coach driver had exceptionally local knowledge, a wonderful temperament and sense of humour. We enjoyed compatible fellow travelers and the accommodation and read more meals were very good. The bonus was the uncommonly good and consistent weather throughout the tour.
