Booking process was smooth and efficient and documentation informative. Registering process was also ok. Trip with Costsaver was generally very good with an experience guide and driver. Accommodation was generally very good. Some optional excursions were grossly overpriced. Some good advice was offered by the guide. Two days in the trip were generally wasted and revolved around ceramics and tweed factories - could have been used better in so many ways. Many participants expressed disappointment at not seeing anything in Northern Ireland other than the ceramics factory a couple of hundred metres over the border. A poor claim to be visiting a fifth country.

Enjoyed the trip very much, particularly Edinburgh Tattoo, which was included in trip, and for me a highlight. Tour leader, Joel, was very knowledgeable and informative and kept us all on schedule and a really nice guy. We had two drivers, Grant and Willy, who were both great. Breakfasts all good but those dinners that were included in package left a lot to be desired. There was only two options other than a vegetarian choice and it was basically the same at each venue. Would suggest Trafalgar organise this a little better. On the whole would rate tour as a great success and left us with fond memories.

I had a good time on this trip. The tour director Christian is excellent. The bus driver Jamie is too good. Everyone on this tour is very friendly. Excellent tour and good value for money. Early September meant school holidays were over so little overcrowding. Weather not terrific - drizzled most days although a few fine days towards the end. However, rain rarely affected what we were doing. Colder than I expected - range mostly 10-14 centigrade during the day (but after all it's autumn in the ...read more UK!). Did not wear any of the lighter clothes I had packed.

Accommodation quite satisfactory and sometimes really good - mostly outside town as one might expect for a Costsaver tour. In the Scottish Highlands we stayed in two different hotels in the same area on consecutive nights and this meant some unnecessary "doubling back". Assume this was due to a hotel booking issue. Inclusions good.

Optional Excursions OK. Did not think optional cruise on Loch Lomond had much going for it but others enjoyed it and I found cruise on Lake Windermere really worthwhile. Highlights York, Edinburgh, Lake District, Bath, Dingle Peninsula, Cliffs of Moher. Pace, as expected, lively. Mostly 7 am breakfast/bags out and on the coach at 8. Tiring at times but one or two easier paced days. Global Journeys staff very helpful and efficient - highly recommended.

The trip was great and we were blessed with exceptional weather. I did find some of the stops were too short and some too long e.g. St Andrews golf course. Overall however the trip was great. My biggest complaint would be the lack of information provided regarding places of interest and history and many times we passed or stopped at places of interest ...read more but were not provided any or very little information. The tour director lacked knowledge, professionalism and seemed very disorganised. A real shame as it would of put the icing on the cake. I have been on alternate tours (not Trafalgar) and the tour directors were excellent.

Would recommend this tour to anyone who loves travelling, learning about cultures, enjoying scenic view, being with friendly bunch of other holiday makers, whether family or single. Expert planning by the Travel Director and Coach Driver. Fantastic holiday. Money well spent. Enjoyed every moment of the tour.

Unfortunately this tour followed an exceptional tour in Europe and although as a group we got on well and the actual tour itself, England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland, was great - it was nowhere near as well organised by the Tour Guide. The pace of the tour was kept at a medium/fast pace which did not auger well for the slower and more infirm. Often ...read more when the slower group caught up with the guide and the more agile, the information given of the site had been missed. Had the guide used the VOX machines this would not have been so much of a problem as those lagging could have heard the explanation, but unfortunately although the speakers had been requested they were not used. The tour and the places visited etc were great, the driver was a joy but part of the enjoyment was removed because of the disorganisation of the guide - he was personable, amusing in the most part. We really enjoyed our tour of the UK and Ireland. The pace was very good and the stops and attractions we visited were well chosen. Overall the tour was excellent value for the money we paid and the service we received from Georgie at Global Journeys was timely, efficient and most courteous.

Booking the tour over the internet was a little scary. However the emails I sent to Yvonne regarding my concerns, no matter how trivial, were always answered. Now about the tour experience. On arrival in London our bags were the last to come off the plane. By the time we got through customs most of the crowd had departed. Standing at the information ...read more stand was the Representative from Trafalgar tours, she knew we had to arrive so was still there waiting. She put us on our transfer bus, explained how another Rep would be at the hotel between certain times to explain what time we would depart on the coach and gave us the name of the Tour Guide. Once on the tour everything went like clockwork. The only negative would be if we didn't go on the 'optional tour or dinner' there wasn't a lot to do. For example we stayed at Airth which was a long way out of town. And again we decided not to do the 'Cardiff Castle Tour' but we couldn't stay at the hotel we had to wander around the city of Cardiff for two hours before continuing on for the afternoon tour. If we were to travel again by coach we wouldn't hesitate to tour with Trafalgar.

We both had a wonderful trip. Everything was organized so well from Georgie our Tour Consultant. We had the best Tour Director who was so helpful and knowledgeable everywhere we went. Accommodation was first class and overall we both had a great time and are looking forward to the next trip with Trafalgar.

Excellent planning, hotels and food wonderful. Scenery and entertainment out of this world. Can recommend to anyone interested in learning about history of the UK or just generally touring around.

This was my first coach tour and I was very impressed. I had heard good reports about Trafalgar Tours and all my expectations were met. Both the tour guide and the driver were extremely competent and took care of us really well. I enjoyed getting to know the other people on the tour and we had good fun together. Obviously in this timeframe there can be few in-depth experiences, but I feel my general education has been broadened, and my understanding of some of the issues facing the people of Britain and Ireland has increased significantly. Georgie at Global Journeys made the process of booking and preparing to go on the tour straightforward and pleasurable. I was a little anxious and sent several emails of enquiry, all of which were responded to very promptly with the information I had requested. I would strongly recommend Global Journeys (and Georgie) to other travellers.

We really enjoyed every part of this great tour, we met & made friends from all over the world at the same time as enjoying the best organised holiday we could have wished for. They even had optional highlight tours on almost every day or evening. All the optional highlights were a extra cost and they included special Dinners when on the particular night a hotel dinner was not included in the tour, plus visiting out of the way places where you would not know existed. We also took an 11 day Cosmos European Highlights Tour, and saw the great cities of Venice, Rome, Paris, Florence and Amsterdam plus a optional boat tour down the Rhine River. The optional highlights of this tour were all exceptional and the Tour Director and Coach Driver both looked after all our needs.
