Overall it was a great trip 4 Ahmad & Ron, NSW, Australia, Aug 2015
Overall it was a great trip. Excursions cancelled in Budapest because of the National holiday on the first and second day of the cruise. APT did not inform us about it and kept advertising the twilight cruise on the first day - it is a bit disappointing as we had 3 days before the cruise started we could done the twilight cruise and the Buda castle read more excursion before the start of the cruise. The internet on the the Amareina was very bad - our cabin was at the back of the ship so no internet in the cabin. You have to go to the reception area or the top deck to have access to the internet. The staff were wonderful excellent services, the cabin was very nice but we couldn't use the balcony as when the ship dock usually other ship are docked one feet from your balcony. If you want to book a cabin I think you would be better of with the cabin with the French balcony usually most of the day you are out. The Excursions were great if not cancelled by APT. Good introduction to river cruising 3 Ann Baylis, Australia, Aug 2015
We enjoyed ourselves very much, but if we had paid full price, we would not think it value for money. Too much emphasis on food and drink. Not enough physical activity for us. The boat was very comfortable and the staff were uniformly enthusiastic and charming. Kristen, the Tour Director, was efficient, charming, quick thinking and caring. A very professional read more tour director. We missed out on the first three days cruising, because of low river in upper Danube. We were ferried by coach and stayed at 4 star hotels in Budapest and Vienna. So no complaints. Excursions were very good, informative and entertaining, and we were taken to very interesting places. A good introduction to river cruising, but would have appreciated more opportunities for walking and cycling. We were well looked after 2 Phillip & Glenys Blunden, QLD, Australia, Jun 2015
Overall trip was very good. WiFi not that good throughout the trip. Hospitality staff were excellent. Cruise guide was excellent. Some suggestions for having and Aussie BBQ on deck? Or grill at some point along the way. Would have been nice to have a real steak. Aironditioning filters probably need cleaning, half the passengers were coughing. We enjoyed read more the trip very much, we were well looked after. Everything promised in the website was delivered 3 Tim Egan & Trish Denton, NSW, Australia, Jun 2015
As indicated by my ratings, my conclusive statement is 'Everything promised in the website and other publicity was delivered.' The downside was that someone had brought on board a respiratory infection of some sort so that on about day four, 75% of the pax were barking and coughing all over the place, us included. Nevertheless, Cheri the cruise director, read more herself afflicted, worked tirelessly so that, at every available opportunity a doctor was brought aboard. But the biggest bonus of the trip for me was the fabulous crew - a lovely collation of young men and women, mainly from eastern Europe (I think) who made the official United Nations look as shabby as it so often is. Thanks, too, for your courtesy and help. Well organised 1 Maureen Beahan, Australia, Jun 2014
Everything was taken care of and organised well
More than we expected or could have wished for 1 Paulina & Robert Wynne, Australia, Apr 2014
We had a wonderful time. The APT cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam was more than we expected or could have wished for. Our accommodation at the Sofitel Budapest was luxurious as we were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a suite with a view of the river, the Chain bridge and the castle on the hill. Absolutely beautiful!
Everything that was promised was delivered 1 Trevor & Deborah Stinson , Australia, Apr 2014
Yvonne organised our river cruise from start to finish, nothing was too much trouble, and it all came together at the other end. During our holiday everything that was promised was delivered. We would recommend Global Journeys.
Not one thing we could fault from beginning to end 1 Nola & Russell Short, Australia, Nov 2013
Our thanks must go to Hannah for organising our trip. There was not one thing we could fault from beginning to end. This certainly was for us the trip of a lifetime.
We loved every minute of our cruise 1 Veronica Simcoe, Australia, Sep 2013
Absolutely brilliant, we loved every minute of our cruise and would highly recommend APT.
Absolutely fantastic 2 Veronica & Maryke, WA, Australia, Sep 2013
This was a fantastic cruise and I really can't find anything about it that I would change. All the excursions were wonderful with great memories. The food was to die for and the staff were excellent.
A pretty good mix of free time and scheduled tours 4 Adrienne Dalton, Australia, Jul 2013
Despite the lockmaster's strike that upset the schedule during the second week we had a wonderful time. APT bent over backwards to ensure that almost all the scheduled tours and activities were still undertaken. This meant some longer bus travel than was anticipated but it was all handled beautifully. All the staff, from Cruise Director Sue, Hotel Manager read more Dietmar and down, were exceptional and absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Food was very good and the all inclusive concept certainly makes travelling so much easier. There was also a pretty good mix of free time and scheduled tours. I would recommend APT and river cruising to anyone. Cruise really lived up to the name 3 Gloria Kennedy, Australia, Aug 2012
The 'APT Magnificent Europe River Cruise' really lived up to the name. The staff on the ship were excellent. The food was delicious. Balazs Kiss, the cruise manager, was extremely competent, helpfull and organised everything in a very cheeerful and professional manner. Having all meals and tours included in the price helped make the whole experience read more easy and enjoyable, nothing to worry about. The only negative was Malaysia Airlines, on one leg there were faults with the overhead lights, screen and reading light. The last snack they served before arriving in Melbourne on Thursday 27/9/12 was absolutely disgusting. Fabulous trip made easy by Global Journeys 3 John Hall, Australia, Jul 2012
Fabulous trip made easy by the help of our tour consultant, organising two trips of 15 and 13 days back to back with a two day rests in between. 12 countries two boats at a truly great price and no hassles. Wow. Unbeatable service and value! Budapest to Amsterdam on the river, then two nights rest in Amsterdam, 13 nights around the Baltic sea, another read more night in Amsterdam before flying home. What a trip. Exceeded our expectations 2 John & Maree O'Neil, Australia, Jun 2012
On the 1st day I wished it was the last, and on the last day I wished it was the 1st. Exceeded our expectations. Our Global Journeys Consultant, Frances was excellent.
