Itinerary

Fly into Venice and be transferred to Scenic Eclipse. Toast the beginning of your voyage with the Captain, crew and new friends. (D)

Feel the strong Italian influence as you immerse yourself in the tangled splendour of this atmospheric old town, wandering the narrow, winding cobbled streets of Old Town, strolling along the seafront promenade. This fishing village on the Croatian Adriatic is famous for the St. Euphemia Cathedral, the highest church tower in Istria. Romantic, historic and picturesque, you will soon see why Rovinj tops many favourite lists. (B/L/D)

Hvar, the queen of the Croatian Dalmatian islands, known for its sunshine, it coastline dotted with pebbly coves and electric blue waters, and medieval history. The Town Square in Hvar is among the most beautiful and the largest in Croatia, and the medieval streets of Hvar Town are a treat to wander on this dreamy island. Hvar is home to an elegant shoreline bursting with luxurious yachts and is one of the more glamorous settings in the Adriatic, therefore Scenic Eclipse will fit right in. (B/L/D)

Even if you have travelled to Dubrovnik before, the sense of wonder never fails to descend when you see the beauty of this old town. Known as the 'Pearl of the Adriatic’, the historic walled city of Dubrovnik will be a highlight of your cruise. World Heritage-listed, it has remained largely unchanged since medieval times, surviving both earthquakes and armed combat. Enjoy an entire day exploring the stone streets, admiring the architectural splendour, baroque churches and splashing fountains. (B/L/D)

Startlingly beautiful, the Bay of Kotor has been inhabited since antiquity and is often described as the Mediterranean’s only fjord. Cruise past the steep brooding mountains into this medieval town, a cluster of orange terracotta rooftops nestled at the bottom of a lavish green hill, protected by UNESCO. With a late departure, spend your afternoon wandering through the maze of cobblestone streets, hidden passageways, and watch as the streets come to life with live music. (B/L/D)

Italy’s eastern most town, Otranto, sits proudly on the Adriatic. Once a thriving Roman port, Otranto was successively ruled by various different empires over the years, each leaving their unique imprint on the seafront city. Boasting ancient city walls, a perfectly preserved castle, sparkling beaches, and crystal clear waters, Otranto is one of Puglia's most charming towns. (B/L/D)

Taormina is one of Sicily’s most popular summer destinations, and the gateway to the treasures of Sicily with Mount Etna, the largest active volcano in Europe, dominating the backdrop. The picturesque small town located above the Ionian Sea is known for its stunning ancient theatre, astonishing vistas and fabulous luxury atmosphere. With rich artistic, historical and cultural heritage it's no wonder the seaside town had brought flocks of visitors since the eighteenth century.? (B/L/D)

Of the seven Aeolian Islands, Lipari is the largest and the most populated. Lying off the north coast of Sicily in the Tyrrhenian Sea, Lipari is one of UNESCO’s marvellous World Heritage-listed sites. This volcanic archipelago boasts picturesque streets, glorious hiking trails, and a long and distinguished history – having been inhabited since 5,000 BC. Lipari’s castle guards its panoramic position and represents how big the town once used to be. (B/L/D)

Famous for its jaw dropping beauty, Capri’s mythical charm has captured hearts since time immemorial. Wander the Piazzetta and listen to the melodious chiming of the clock tower, admire the impossibly blue ocean as it crashes onto the steep cliffs, and taste the fresh, aromatic caprese salad or the famous flourless chocolate cake. (B/L/D)

During Roman times, Ponza used to be a prison island, a far cry from the scenic summer it is today. Ponza is a small island with a pretty harbour fringed with colourful fishing boats, steep white cliffs and crystalline waters. Savour its slow pace and laidback vibe, wild terrain and terraced slopes carpeted with green bushes, and excellent cuisine complemented by boutique vineyards. (B/L/D)
