Wake this morning in the city of Alicante, one of Spain's most popular tourist destinations and unofficial capital of the Costa Blanca (White Coast).

Alicante is built around the base of the imposing Moorish fortress of Castillo de Santa Barbara, dating back to the 9th century; climb the hill or take the elevator to explore. In El Barrio, the Old Town, soak up the sun with a walk along the beautiful, palm-tree lined Explanada de España.

Make your reservation for the Night Market @ Koko's (available by on board reservation), where chefs prepare unique dishes inspired by the street markets of Asia while you watch.

Marseille is also the gateway to the region of Provence, famous for its wine and cuisine.

With a late departure, see Saint-Tropez come alive after dark.

• Visit to the Cistercian Abbey of Thoronet with lunch at Chateau de Berne: Travel by boat from St Tropez to St Maxime, then enjoy a scenic drive through Provençal countryside to Thoronet Abbey, a beautifully preserved Cistercian masterpiece. Your voyage ends in the breathtaking Monte Carlo. The most famous district in the world's second-smallest country, Monaco, it attracts high-rollers and prodigious wealth with luxurious high-rise hotels, designer boutiques and beautiful people at every turn.

After breakfast, farewell the crew and new friends who shared this incredible journey with you. You'll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey or return flight home, taking with you memories that will last a lifetime.
