Itinerary

Departs: 7:00 PM

There are two dedicated cruise passenger terminals - the White Bay Cruise Terminal at Rozelle and the Overseas Passenger Terminal at Circular Quay in the city centre. This is your opportunity to marvel at Australia’s famous icons, the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge as you glide past The Heads - the dramatic sandstone cliffs at the entrance of the harbour.

Indulge in some self-care at Mareel Wellness & Beauty on Queen Elizabeth. Here, you can choose from a wide array of spa treatments and therapies designed to restore balance and harmony to your body, mind, and spirit. Or you could simply rest and relax, making the most of the hydrotherapy pool, sauna, and steam room. Perhaps bring a book and find a comfortable lounger to call yours for an hour or so. Taking time out in the Mareel spa is sure to leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready for the days ahead.

Arrives: 8:00 AM Departs: 6:00 PM

Nuku'alofa, the capital of Tonga, is nestled on the north coast of the island of Tongatapu. As the gateway to the kingdom, it presents a unique blend of traditional Polynesian culture and modern influences. The Royal Palace, a wooden mansion facing the sea, is a striking symbol of Tonga's monarchy, offering a picturesque view from the waterfront.

The city's vibrant Talamahu Market is a focal point for experiencing local life. Here, visitors can explore stalls brimming with fresh produce, handmade crafts, and tropical flowers. Nuku'alofa also serves as a starting point for excursions to nearby coral islands, making it an excellent base for those looking to dive, snorkel, or simply relax on pristine beaches.

Whichever ship you decide on you can choose from a refreshing variety of pools and whirlpools - each heated to just the right temperature. Queen Elizabeth offers two spacious outdoor pools as well as a hydrotherapy pool in her spa.

Arrives: 11:29 PM Departs: 11:59 PM

The international date line, established in 1884, passes through the mid-Pacific Ocean and roughly follows a 180 degrees longitude north to south line on the Earth. It does zigzag around political borders such as eastern Russia and Alaska’s Aleutian Islands.

Crossing the date line eastbound decreases the date by one day, while crossing the date line westbound increases the date. So when you cross east to west you always lose a day and crossing from west to east you get the same day twice (or gain a day).

Queen Elizabeth's two-deck library is a guest favourite. While away some time here with a new holiday read, or meet new friends through our on board book club. If you're feeling inspired, why not pen some stories of your very own? Warm wood panelling, golden lighting, and plush seating give this space a cosy feel, perfect for literary exploration by day and by night.

Arrives: 7:00 AM Departs: 6:00 PM

Oahu, known as "The Gathering Place," is a vibrant blend of natural beauty and urban charm. From Honolulu's Ala Moana Center, the largest open-air shopping center in the world or alternatively for nature enthusiasts, hike up Diamond Head for breathtaking views or relax on the famous Waikiki Beach. For a taste of local life, visit the North Shore to witness world-class surfing and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere. Don't miss the chance to sample local delicacies at a luau, where traditional Hawaiian cuisine and entertainment create an unforgettable evening.

Port:Honolulu

Dive into history at the Iolani Palace, the only royal palace in the United States, and pay respects at the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, a poignant reminder of World War II. Stroll through the lively Waikiki Beach area, where you can sunbathe, surf, or shop at upscale boutiques.

For panoramic views of the island, hike up Diamond Head, an iconic volcanic crater. Sample local flavors at the KCC Farmers Market, featuring fresh produce and Hawaiian treats, or relax in the serene Honolulu Botanical Gardens, a lush oasis in the heart of the city.

Arrives: 7:00 AM Departs: 6:00 PM

Big Island, officially known as Hawaii Island, offers a diverse range of attractions and landscapes. Visit Hawaii Volcanoes National Park to witness the awe-inspiring activity of Kilauea and Mauna Loa, two of the world's most active volcanoes. The park’s lava flows and unique geological features make it a must-see destination.

Head to the east side and explore Hilo's lush rainforests, beautiful waterfalls like Rainbow Falls, and the serene Liliuokalani Gardens. The west side boasts sunny Kona, famous for its coffee farms and historic sites like Pu'uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park. Don't miss a visit to the stunning black sand beaches of Punalu'u, where you might spot sea turtles basking in the sun.

Port:Hilo

The entire city of Hilo is like one giant greenhouse with spectacular tropical flowers at every turn. The vibe here is definitively Old Hawaii with well-preserved historic buildings, which date back to the turn of the century and showcase Hawaii's unique architecture. Explore the stunning Rainbow Falls, a picturesque waterfall set in a lush tropical landscape.

Nearby, the Hawaii Tropical Botanical Garden showcases a vibrant array of exotic plants and flowers. Wander through the historic downtown area to find unique shops, local markets, and the Pacific Tsunami Museum, which offers insights into the region's natural history. For a peaceful retreat, visit Liliuokalani Gardens, a beautiful Japanese-style garden perfect for a leisurely stroll.

It couldn't be easier to meet people on board. The ship's social host ensures that guests need never feel out of place, enabling solo travellers to make connections at specially hosted coffee gatherings and dinner tables, and also a range of daytime activities. Indeed, before your invitation to the 'Welcome Cocktail Party' arrives, there's every chance you'll already have met the perfect company to share in the excitement.

Arrives: 7:00 AM

Los Angeles, a sprawling Southern California city, is famed not only for its influence on the entertainment industry but also for its diverse cultural offerings and sunny coastline. Highlights include the Getty Center, where art and stunning architecture meet in an expansive hilltop setting, and the historic Griffith Observatory, which offers panoramic views of the city and beyond.

For those disembarking mid-morning, a stroll through the vibrant streets of Santa Monica or a visit to the eclectic Venice Beach Boardwalk provides a perfect slice of local life. Both are excellent spots to enjoy the quintessential SoCal sun, sand, and surf, complete with shops, street performers, and seaside eateries.

Grand adventure 3 , QLD, Australia, May 2025
We were looking forward to a holiday that was going to give us the overall coverage of Japan in one trip so we thought the Cunard QE was going to give us that and it did. We enjoyed the trip but thought the boat was a bit too over the top for us. We felt if you weren’t the type of people who wanted to go glitzy each night there was little alternative read more - for that reason we felt a bit left out. Food was average and we expected better for a ship that is suppose to exude luxury but we saw all the sights we wanted and at a convenient docking spot each day.
Queen Elizabeth cruise Sydney to Singapore 2 , QLD, Australia, Feb 2025
First class accommodation in Princess Grill and dining options very good. Entertainment was superb and we visited the theatre every night.
Sad to see Queen Elizabeth Cruise ship leaving Australia. 4 , SA, Australia, Dec 2024
Cunard is to leave Australia and is not returning. We have enjoyed our cruises on this wonderful ship, so many areas to visit, morning coffee in the Commodor Club, breakfast, lunch, evening meals all fine dining each day, not to mention the afternoon tradition of afternoon tea. Our stateroom was always very clean and bathroom clean and shiny. We always read more choose the Main Dining room for meals rather than the casual dining in the Lido. Evening shows with high class entertainment, fabulous costumes. Staff at every level are fantastic.
Writers festival at Sea - Cunard 6 , NSW, Australia, Dec 2024
The trip was well worth doing, the writers talks were excellent and this combined with a great ship made the experience memorable. There is lots of choice of food, activities and great cabins which all put together makes for a wonderful trip.
Cunard lost it's shine? 2 , New Zealand, Mar 2024
Not sure I'd travel with Cunard again. This was my 14th cruise and 1st Cunard. It was chosen for destination and being rated a 5 star cruise line. Prior to this we did an Oceania cruise (just pre covid- 2019) and it was 5 star, however Cunard was not up the that standard. While I like the decor, some areas of the ship are getting a bit tired and need read more a refurbishment. Some of the crew were just going through the motions, a couple of the days trips were poorly organised and managed, and the trip included lunches were like being in a boarding school lunch room. Definitely not as many inclusions as other cruises, and actually felt a bit undervalued as a client
This was our first cruise...   6 , NSW, Australia, Feb 2024
This was our first cruise and we couldn't have had a more wonderful holiday. The Queen Elizabeth was the height of elegance and the meals and entertainment first class. We made some new friends on board and would congregate in the Commodore Club for cocktails and beer. Thank you Global Journeys for your organising our booking and being on hand for read more any queries and confirmations.
Queen Elizabeth turned south instead of north! 3 , ACT, Australia, Jan 2024
Despite a change of itinerary due the cyclone in Queensland we had a wonderful time on the Queen Elizabeth. We could not fault the ship - the staff, food, cleanliness were absolutely first rate. Gorgeous art deco fittings. Plenty to do - interesting lectures, art talks, entertainment. Never seemed over crowded. Sadly it was quite cold in the Bass read more Strait and we had visited Eden, Melbourne and Adelaide before. Port Lincoln was new to us and a pretty little port. But one cannot help the weather situation and the cruise was a fabulous experience. Global Journeys and Georgina cannot be faulted. Everything went smoothly - no hitches, no problems. Georgina answered all queries so promptly and efficiently. Hope to have the occasion to contact her and Global Journeys again!
Wonderful cruise with Cunard 8 , NSW, Australia, Jan 2024
I had a fabulous time on board Queen Elizabeth! Met so many wonderful people on the ship. Delicious flow of food from morning till night! The best ever scones!! Some of the live shows are a bit too “busy”for me, though some might like it. Overall very good program with enjoyable entertainment & wide selection of activities. The crew staff work very read more hard. Also , thanks to Hannah for the seamless booking.
