Welcome to Holland. Your Suite Ship® is Ready for Boarding. Flights into Amsterdam must arrive by 3:30 pm. Guests must be on board ship by 5 pm.
Your day in Amsterdam is free to explore at your leisure.
You may choose to join a Guided Optional Excursion to beautiful Zaanse Schans to wander through its wonderful collection of well-preserved, historic windmills and Dutch houses. Enjoy dinner and explore the ship on your first night on board.
EVENING CRUISE TO HOORN
Maritime Atmosphere and Vibrant Culture.
- Active: Take a Bike Tour with your Avalon Adventure Host to explore this lovely town and discover its typical Dutch atmosphere, OR:
- Classic: Join a fascinating Guided Walking Tour through picturesque Hoorn, a bustling base for the Dutch East India Company during the Golden Age.
This afternoon, enjoy leisurely sailing to Enkhuizen. ENKHUIZEN: Home and Hearth in a Dutch Harbor Town.
- Classic: Take a Guided Walking Tour to experience the charm and beauty of this historic harbor village.
Later, enjoy onboard live entertainment.

- Active: Explore the beautiful landscape of lush fields and blue water on a bike ride through The Ooijpolder Nature Reserve, OR:
- Classic: Join a Guided Tour of Nijmegen—the oldest town in the Netherlands—first built by the Romans more than 2,000 years ago. See the archaeological Roman - era ruins in the city that was also damaged in WWII.
This afternoon, enjoy free time on your own and relax at one of the numerous cafes. Later enjoy live entertainment on board.

During free time, you might take time on your own to indulge in Antwerp's signature Belgian waffles and crêpes—or explore this bike-friendly city from its old wharfs to its legendary diamond district.
OVERNIGHT CRUISE TO WILLEMSTAD

- Active: See the windmills of Kinderdijk by bike with your Adventure Host, OR:
- Classic: Join a Guided Tour of Kinderdijk where 19 windmills were built in 1740 as flood prevention and water management. You'll hear about the windmill's vital role in the Netherland's history and why it became a national symbol of Holland.
This evening, enjoy a quick sailing to Rotterdam.

- Classic: Join a full- or half-day Guided Tour of breathtaking Keukenhof—known as the “Garden of Europe”—for its 70 acres of lush parkland, lakes, and the world's largest flower gardens—with more than seven million tulips, daffodils and hyacinths as well as other bulbs, planted each year, OR:
- Classic: Join a Guided Sightseeing Tour of Rotterdam featuring innovative architecture, including the marvelous Erasmus Bridge.
- Classic: As an alternative to the full-day tour, you can join an exciting Guided Walking Tour to discover the city of Gouda, famous for its legendary cheese.
