Arrive in Perth, Western Australia's capital city, where you will be met on arrival and transferred to your hotel. A special welcome dinner awaits at your hotel this evening. Stay Three Nights: Double Tree by Hilton Perth Waterfront (D)
Following breakfast, you'll set off for the picturesque wine region of Swan Valley, a short 20-minute drive from Perth.
Your first stop is at Dale Tilbrook Experiences, where you can explore Aboriginal cultural practices with a bush tucker talk and tasting. Bush tucker, or ‘bush food', refers to the traditional native plants, fruits, and seeds that made up the diet of the early Australians. Learn about the various native ingredients and medicinal plants, and how the Aboriginal peoples of the Southwest lived off the land for millennia. Sample bush tucker for yourself, from lemon myrtle to saltbush, bush tomatoes, finger limes and more. To cap it off, enjoy sweet and savory dishes made entirely from bush tucker.
Swan Valley is renowned for its boutique wineries, and your tour will stop in at one of the many celebrated venues for a tasting of prized wines alongside a contemporary fine dining lunch. Afterwards, join a guided Perth sightseeing tour and discover all the must-see spots, including Elizabeth Quay, Kings Park and Botanic Garden, and the Bell Tower. (B/L)
Off the coast of Perth lies Rottnest Island, Western Australia's most stunning island. You'll join a short ferry ride to this small but mighty coastal jewel, which packs a punch when it comes to things to do, from snorkelling in the pristine bays and taking leisurely bikes ride along the coastal tracks, to lounging on one of its 63 golden beaches. Travelers visit from around the world to meet the resident quokkas - adorable marsupials related to kangaroos and wallabies - that are famous for their smiles.
Explore Rottnest Island aboard a unique train that takes you to highlights like The Settlement, Wadjemup Lighthouse, and the Mabel Cove lookout. Enjoy the comfort of air conditioning as you take in stunning landscapes, from salt lakes to beaches and woodlands, while learning about the island's rich heritage. Savor lunch at Oliver Hill, the island's highest point, offering breathtaking views. Later, return to Perth in time for dinner at your hotel. (B/L/D)
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight. (B)
