The club was forced to close during the Second World War and reopened in 1949 after the removal of landmines. In the 1990s, Didier Fruchet redesigned the layout, resulting in today's course stretching over approximately 6,000 metres. The back nine, laid out along the steep cliff edge, are particularly demanding and provide a thrilling and visually spectacular golfing experience.
