The rugged country of the South Island is spectacular and sailing on Milford Sound was truly wonderful. Fiordland was a highlight and the TransAlpine Train journey was magnificent. The North Island offered a different experience, and was more focussed on the culture of the Māori people. We really enjoyed learning about that. We were able to tick read more off three of our bucket list items: the Southern Alps, Waitomo Caves and a sensational geyser at Te Puia. But no Kiwi 😔 anywhere. Be prepared for long days in the coach but you’ll find the scenery makes it worthwhile. Booking with Hannah at Global Journeys is always a hassle-free and enjoyable experience, she never lets us down.
