From the time we first contacted Leanne at Global Journeys right through to the last day, the whole cruise was magic. The only thing I would add was that on the final day it sort of fizzled out in the hotel... I realise that people coming off the cruise have planes to catch etc. but it would have been nice to wrap up the cruise with a final dinner at ...read more the hotel.

A lovely trip despite it raining a fair part of the trip. The ship was very nice and I would have been happy to spend longer on the cruise part of the trip. I was sorry the weather didn't allow us to sit up top often. The ship Crew were great, quickly remembering your name, and doing fun things like making the bath towels into dog shapes and leaving ...read more them on you bed with your sunglasses on them. Food was plentiful and nice. Sights were lovely. I didn't do many optionals, as I had just come off another very busy tour, and so I enjoyed a more leisurely time, but I did do the wine tour in the Hungarian countryside and it was delightful. Our guide Peter was pleasant and obliging. Overall a really nice tour.

It was our first river cruise and we both thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the trip. We could not find any fault with the accommodation, food, tours etc. We would recommend Avalon to anyone who is wanting to go on a river cruise.
