I had great experience booking through Global Journeys, Madeline was very helpful and responded to my emails quickly. Albatross tours are efficient and the tour guide was fantastic. She made sure everything ran smoothly even when events like marathons closed the roads. Plan B was executed without a fuss or any inconvenience! Max group size is 28 which read more is good. Nice traveling with Aussies who were well traveled and easy going. The itinerary was comprehensive but some free time. The accommodation was fabulous.

This was a comfortable and well organised tour going to a great variety of wonderful locations with excellent local guides plus an efficient, likeable and very helpful tour guide. We stayed in excellent and well located hotels with Granada and Salamanca being particularly noteworthy. We travelled in a large coach and while this was comfortable the obvious read more negative impact these enormous tourist carriers are having in Spain and Portugal did worry me. I also felt Albatross could be more proactive in environmental awareness by discouraging plastic bottle use, etc. Arranging my tour through Global Journeys was a painless and efficient process with excellent ongoing communication. I would recommend them.

I loved this tour from go to whoa. An outstanding tour leader contributed significantly to this, along with the lovely group of people I was lucky to travel with. The pluses I appreciated on this tour with Albatross were the group size - 18; the mix of couples and solo travellers; the 2-3 night stays; the fact that everything was included; there was read more a good mix of guided time and free time; excellent accommodation and locations. I would undoubtedly travel with Albatross again.

Tips for other travellers - choose this tour in Spring or Autumn if you want to avoid hot summer days. Consider your fitness level - there is a good deal of walking on this tour. It is the best way to experience a place - but it does include cobbled paths, hills and stairs. The age range of the group on my tour, was approx 60 to 75 - all fit active older adults, who weren’t bothered by the heat of the sun or the amount of walking.

This was my third trip with Albatross. Like the two previous tours this tour of Spain and Portugal was well thought out and devised with a mix of group touring an "My Time". With wonderful accommodation, included excursions and longer stays 2-3 nights all made for a relaxed and enjoyable time.

A wonderful group of fellow travellers with a mix of read more couples and singles all being very welcoming and inclusive. And too, our tour guide Darren was superb. Professional and caring ensured we all travelled well. This was my first time booking with Global Journeys. Hannah, my consultant made the process seamless. Answered all my emails promptly and also booked my flights. I would happily book again with Global Journeys.

The Albatross 18 day tour of Spain and Portugal was truly excellent. The tour guide (Darren Wheatley, a multilingual Englishman) was very knowledgeable without being conceited, caring and cheerful. He never let us down in any way.

Just as fortunate, the company was pleasant and enjoyed everything. No grumblers, everyone punctual in the mornings read more and after My Time, no one cutting anyone else out. What a difference this must make! And it is one the aspect totally beyond the tour company's control.

We were also fortunate to be travelling in such beautiful weather, late spring. The wildflowers were flourishing in the mountains, the storks were nesting on campaniles and tops of city walls etc, the Spanish and Portuguese were out and about enjoying life. In some places they are outnumbered by tourists but everyone remained courteous and helpful.

This I especially appreciated in the days I had alone in Madrid before the tour began, and in Barcelona after it was over. The frantic preoccupation with earning a living does not seem to have overwhelmed the Iberians as it has Australians.

What a memorable tour. All of the major tourist attractions as well as some amazing one off experiences, like arriving into Lisbon as the national football team presented with the trophy in front of thousands of fans, or the street procession of the Saint of good health carried by 30 men thru the streets of Seville. The included excursions were magical read more especially the port tour, tasting and lunch in Porto. Fantastic brand new coach and the most wonderful tour guide imaginable. Magnifico!

Our trip to Spain And Portugal was 18 days of pure delight. Our tour director John Made sure everything ran smoothly and that we were in need of NOTHING ! The competent driving of our coach driver Jose Antonio , the beautiful landscapes and historical sights we visited together with the sunshine and laughter of our fellow travellers made this tour very read more enjoyable. The hotels were good but we found that their menus didn't always suit our Australian diet. One hotel in particular was not up to standard as regards breakfast. No dinner was scheduled at this hotel. Global Journeys part in the booking process was good. The trip was very inclusive and you cannot judge your fellow travellers, as Albatross has no control read more of bookings, it's hit and miss. Our boat trip in Porto was very ordinary the lunch was poor quality and was present on the table for sometime before we had lunch especially as it was a very warm day. Albatross should look at extending their trip to Barcelona most of the fellow travellers either went before or after and we went afterwards and found Barcelona a very worthy inclusion in Spain.

A great insight into the fascinating history of Spain and Portugal with their well preserved monuments from the past. We were blessed with the weather (fine throughout), a very compatable group of fellow travellers, a wonderful coach driver and an excellent tour leader. An experience to remember!

The tour was fantastic and I recommend it to anyone who wishes to experience what Spain and Portugal has to offer. Albatross has done a fantastic job with hotel selection and intinerary.

Having taken other coach tours, it was delightful to be on a tour that only had 20 passengers, all of whom were Aussies. They were a great group and we all got on really well. Being a small group we had plenty of space to spread out on our very comfortable new coach. Our tour guide, Tina, was a genteel English lady, extremely knowledgable and we all read more felt like her 'children' as she constantly ensured we were all safely gathered together, which can't be an easy job. She always gave advice on recommended restaurants on the few nights when we didnt have meals provided. The tour itself was lovely, although I think everyone on it agreed that perhaps we could have done with more free time and this has been reported back to Albatross in the company's comments sheet by most on the tour. It was great to have 3 and a couple of times, 4 nts in wonderful hotels with yummy meals provided. Of course a big bonus with Albatross is the inclusion of all tours and gratuities in the price of the holiday, so we weren't faced with choosing tours to suit our budget and budget for extra costs at the end of the holiday. We had some brilliant extras, like cruising the Calanques in France and also the Cinque Terre in Italy. Wonderful. So, with regard Albatross as a touring company, we would certainly recommend them to your clients. I don't believe they are a well-known company but perhaps that's a good thing. Word of mouth is the best recommendation. So, now to Global Journeys. Georgie, we can't fault the handling of our holiday arrangements through Global Journeys and thank you personally for your assistance in both booking the flights and the holiday itself. It all went very smoothly.
