While spanning only 13 square miles, Carriacou is rich in history. The small but significant Carriacou Museum, housed in an old cotton factory in Hillsborough, reveals the island’s native, African and European influences. Nautical connoisseurs will want to head to Windward, where traditional wooden Carriacou sloops are still built using the techniques of early Scottish settlers.
