Your first day will see you depart Australia's most northerly city of Darwin, and after lunch on the train as it makes its way through lush green tropics, you'll arrive in Katherine, where you have the opportunity to connect with its rich Indigenous and early settler history. Take a cruise along the mesmerising Nitmiluk Gorge, located on the lands of the Jawoyn people. With ancient rock art sites punctuating the park, and Dreamtime stories bringing the landforms to life, you will explore the silence, stillness and significance of this place of rare beauty.
