For exploring Taipei, travellers have several transportation options including taxis, buses, and trains. The city is renowned for its rich blend of modern and traditional cultures, with must-visit sights like the Taipei 101 skyscraper and the historical Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. Hong Kong’s Ocean Terminal port has become a tourist hotspot featuring world-class hotels, restaurants and shopping, and the Kik Tak Cruise Terminal is a newer port located in Victoria Harbor. When it’s time to sightsee, both ports have nearby train transportation and plenty of taxis available.
Head to the top of the Peak Tower for a panoramic view of all of Hong Kong, then shop the Temple Street Night Market. Take a day trip to Macau or for travelers who have been to Hong Kong previously might want to take a tour to Lantau Island to visit to the Po Lin Monastery to see the huge Tian Tan Buddha.

The Chan May port is about an hour from the center of Da Nang, and some travelers pass through Hoi An from there. The Da Nang cruise port is minimally equipped, but there are some basic open-air market stalls with jewellery, clothes, and other Vietnamese souvenirs available for travellers to purchase.

Singapore has two main cruise terminals. Small and medium cruise ships generally dock at the Harbourfront Center on the western end of the city across from Sentosa Island. This terminal is in one big mall, and sits beside an even bigger mall, Vivocity. There is a MRT stop conveniently located here.
A new cruise terminal, Marina Bay Cruise Centre opened May 2012 accommodating bigger cruise ships. Marina South Pier MRT station provides convenient access to the city. The station is 600m away from the cruise terminal along a sheltered walkway.

The main thing that was annoying to me was that in the room next to us were three South American teenagers who from 10:00pm till 1:00am on many of the nights either played soccer in their room or decided to have fights. The problem was that when I called guest services and security, it took them 40 minutes to attend and by that stage the noisemakers had quietened down so there was no evidence. It got to the stage that on most nights I ended up having to wear earplugs.
The major shows were good but tended to be very much just bands playing and acrobats and singers without being particularly spectacular compared to other cruises.
If you are able to, I would strongly suggest getting a balcony stateroom since it makes it very appealing to be able to sit outside and relax away from the hustle and bustle of the poolside area. One of my many joys was the 10 free ice cream flavours that were available until 9:00 PM each night. The staff there got to know me quite well.
I would definitely do another cruise with Celebrity as well as booking with Global Journeys since Hannah has always looked after me with my holidays.
There are a few issues that I had, but they may be minor depending on your perspective. For example, all the prices were in U.S. dollars, and if you bought drinks, then there was a 20% surcharge/ tip added to your bill. Also, since this was a luxury cruise, the optional visits seemed to be very expensive. I found that the few dance floors were very small when you consider that there were almost 3000 passengers on board. The shows had a lot of variety but not as spectacular as the ones that I saw on a P&O 4-day cruise a year ago. The meals were great, but it was surprising when eating in the restaurants, that every day, one out of the three columns on the menu was identical. Also, a certain amount of the vessel was off limits unless you were in the specialty suites or exclusive Aqua class.
Nevertheless, I look forward to going on another cruise with Celebrity and appreciate the professionalism and expertise of Hannah and Global Journeys, with whom I have already booked another cruise.
