Committed to delivering at the highest level aboard the Eclipse, Scenic enlisted specialists in their field to craft elements of this spectacular Discovery Yacht experience – from the wine list to the works of art.

Careful consideration and fruitful collaborations have seen an enviable wine list created by a renowned Master of Wines, an elaborate Whiskey Wall designed to display the 110 varieties on offer, and three custom art installations courtesy of the famous British Graffiti Artist, Carl Hush.

Bar, Scenic Eclipse

An Enviable Wine List

With the services of Master of Wines, Keith Isaac, Scenic has curated a wine list that complements the Eclipse experience and reflects the regions through which she travels.

“With “Discovery” being part of the mission statement of the ship we picked this up as a theme of the wine list”, said Mr Isaac, one of only 400 Master of Wines worldwide.

“We hope the guests will be impressed with the first wines they try, by the range and quality on offer, and excited to taste the rest! We have tried to strike a balance of “wow factor” wines they will be surprised to see offered as part Scenic’s all inclusive commitment, with some lesser known varieties from all sorts of places.”

Guests travelling to Antarctica might enjoy a Cabernet Franc from Mendoza in Argentina and a Syrah from Limarí in Chile to capture the essence of the region. The finest wines from around the world are featured throughout the list, and amongst the champagnes being poured guests may wish to try a 1er Cru from Lombard and a Grand Cru Blanc de Blancs from Autréau, as well as the Palmes d’Or 2006 from Nicolas Feuillatte.

“Our guests have a passion for and a knowledge of quality wines, and it is essential that we offer a selection of wines that represent both a diversity of regions and a diversity of styles, and one that exemplifies our core brand offering,” said Mr Glen Moroney Founder and Chairman the Scenic Group.

In line with their all inclusive offering, Scenic Eclipse guests can enjoy incredible pours from this carefully curated list – all complimentary. In addition, there is also a Chairman’s Cellar List featuring some of the very best vintages handpicked by Keith Isaac and Glen Moroney. The Chairman’s Cellar List selections are available for purchase.

Whiskey Wall, Scenic Eclipse

110 Bottle Whiskey Wall

Whiskey lovers will appreciate the Whiskey Wall located in the main lounge of the Scenic Eclipse. This popular gathering place is framed by a floor to ceiling display proudly showcasing the ship’s 110 varieties.

Included in this selection guests can find single malts such as a 25-year-old Glendullan, a 30-year-old Jura The Loch and a 16-year-old Lagavulin all backed by a wall of translucent quartz crystal. If you’re a fan of blended whiskeys, then perhaps you would like to try some of the most famous super-premium blends such as Johnny Walker Blue, Ireland’s Jameson Select Reserve Black Barrel, or Canada’s Crown Royal Deluxe. There is also an array of other offerings from around the world, featuring options from Australia, Japan, Taiwan, France, India, USA, South Africa and Sweden.

Guests can enjoy the Whiskey Bar and its extensive offering at no additional cost.

Artwork aboard Scenic Eclipse

Unique Artwork

Scenic has paired up with UK based artist Carl Hush to create unique artistic spaces on board the Eclipse. Three customs installations bring Hush’s works to life, exhibiting a characteristic technique that blends street art and traditional practices.

“His unique works are striking, an amalgamation of collage, graffiti, stencil, painting and drawing. He is known for using these mixed techniques to create his geisha inspired works. The collection on board Scenic Eclipse will be of his beautiful geisha ladies, featured most prominently in our stunning Koko’s restaurant”, said Karen Moroney, Project Director- Design, Scenic Group.

“His work which focuses on the female from depicting their beauty and sensuality are created in traditional colours and modern graffiti style, which are the perfect complement to the warmth and subdued atmosphere of our ship design”, she said.
