Lovely trip on the Rhone River 0 , ACT, Australia, Apr 2026
A lot of activity was crammed into this 7 day trip. Each day revealed amazing scenery, and shore excursions covered many ways to experience the current town or village. I particurly appreciated the " leisurely" version of some walking tours which catered for older people. We loved the train trip at Toulon and the excursion to the winery at Lyon. Perfect read more weather added to the enjoyement. The ship is spacious, cabin very comfortable with plenty of storage room. The lift was a bonus.
Wonderful way to experience the beauty of the South of France   2 , QLD, Australia, Aug 2022
From the three day pre extension in Nice to the three day post extension in Paris our Provence to Lyon river cruise with Viking was by far the best holiday we have had so far. Everything was perfect the weather, the high standard of the Viking staff, the food on board the ship and the tours at each port were well above our expectations. Nothing was read more too much trouble for all the people who work on the Viking ships I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to see France or any other country where they sail. Global Journeys looked after all our bookings and did a wonderful job of making sure everything went to plan, well done!
A very relaxing escape   9 , WA, Australia, Sep 2017
If you want a very relaxing escape this would be the cruise for you. The average age would be 60+ and mostly Americans. If you want activity you are not going to get it, but meeting new people, seeing the sights, eating lovely food and drinking great French wine does! We were two days into the cruise when a fellow traveler reminded us that we have read more the silver wine package included in our price. This certainly made the wine experience interesting indeed. Although it would have been nice if they had reinforced this when we initially boarded the ship.
