Hannah Campbell handled our enquiries very well as always. We are delighted that we are able to communicate with her whenever we need answers. We joined this trip with friends who were marking a significant date in their lives. Sadly one of them got very ill throughout and fortunately made it back to a hospital in his home town. As usual the ship was read more magnificent but the visits to Solomon Islands and Vanuatu islands were very much the same and the journey back from Fiji to Perth via plane changes in Sydney made it an exhausting end covering from 5am Friday Perth time to 02.am Perth time on Saturday. We would not contemplate a cruise of that nature again. However we will be looking forward to the other trips which we have arranged for the next year or so. The overall rating below relates only to the time at sea, the quality of the visits and the travel time to get home.

The ship was lovely - good well sized cabins with excellent food and service. The cruise description implied there would be many excellent snorkelling opportunities but in 2 weeks there were only 3 or 4 such outings. The Scenic administration (pre-cruise) can only be described as totally useless (many other passengers expressed the same view to us) read more - e-mails and phone calls were never answered - totally incorrect and confusing information on the requirements for an Indonesian visa were provided. Our agent at Global Journeys, Tracey, did a great job of trying to follow up with Scenic.

Another perfect cruise on Scenic Eclipse II. From the beginning of our booking, Tracey handled the connection with Scenic and she made it all so easy for us, keeping touch with us regularly. Thank you Tracey, we are really grateful. The Scenic Eclipse II staff were amazing - always looking out for us, they remembered our names, always there when we read more had a query or needed something. Our cabins were super comfortable with table and chairs on the large balcony. Room service meals were available if we did not want to spend time going to the dining room. Plenty of healthy food choices.
The crew took the Zodiacs out each day - sometimes the water was rough and the crew took care to help the passengers on and off the Zodiacs. On two days, the water was too rough for the Zodiacs to make a landing on the beach, on these days we cruised slowly along the coastline of the islands and we really enjoyed that. While anchored outside Dampier, we were surrounded by dozens of humpback whales, we had never imagined so many whales together in one place. From the Zodiacs we were able to view amazing underwater life - huge bommies, dugung, colourful fish - much more.
We visited many historic sites and learned a lot. Several marine biologists and environmentalists on board and each night we had a lecture/discussion on what we had seen during the day. We highly recommend this cruise - there was nothing we could fault. We would certainly travel with Scenic again, and we would also ask Tracey from Global Journeys to handle our future bookings for us.

Scenic Cruise from Taipei to Bali 0 Natural Treasures of Indonesia, Borneo & Taiwan Ashley and Brian, QLD, Australia, Jun 2025
Took a Scenic Cruise, starting in Taipei and travelling to Manila, El Nido, Sabah and several Indonesian islands. The trip included wildlife watching, museums, viewing cultural practices and watersports on several beaches. Our cruise had 185 passengers and even more crew. Overall, very happy with the yacht and Scenic do a good job ensuring you have read more a good time with an endless bar and room service whenever you wish. The destinations were varied.
Things that could have been done better was the day before starting the cruise in Taipei. The charge for the Taipei hotel was much more than the rack rate and no tour of Taipei was arranged. Also, there was lots of confusion surrounding the visas and it was left to the yacht crew to sort out when some of it could have been sorted out beforehand.
Many fellow passengers had been on several Scenic cruises prior so that was a good endorsement. I'd travel with them again. I'd choose Scenic Eclipse 1 over 2 as well as the cabin design and furnishings are better on 1.

Our trip was perfect from the time of booking to the time of arriving home. Tracey was amazing to deal with, she answered all our queries promptly and liaised with Scenic, taking that effort away from us. We would certainly book through Tracey at Global Journeys for our next trip. We enjoyed every minute of the Scenic Eclipse 2 cruise, our room with read more a balcony was spacious and very comfortable, plenty of wardrobe space. Several dining options. We enjoyed the company of the other passengers, most were seasoned travellers and were happy to discuss their future travel options. The interior of the ship was kept in top quality cleanliness with hygiene a priority. Thank you Tracey for all you did to make this trip possible for us.
Wonderful boat and region but no diving and limited snorkeling 1 Max and Tracey, QLD, Australia, Sep 2024
The Scenic Eclipse 2 is a magnificent ship and the Captain and Crew are just amazing. We highly recommend travelling with them but perhaps not for this journey. We were disappointed to find there was no diving at all and only 4 opportunies to snorkel, each for a short period of time. Given Raja Ampat is known to be a marine wonderland and both diving read more and snorkeling were mentioned in the itinerary when we booked, we were suprised to find neither was adequately catered for. We chose this trip because we thought it enabled us to explore the wonders above the sea (which it did magnificently) and the wonders below the sea (which it did not).
We were told we had to organize our own diving (which is difficult on a discovery voyage as there is no itinerary). The Discovery team and Shore Excursion team onboard offered no assistance and we only got to dive after we went to the Captain, who gladly helped us to determine the best place and time to organize our own dive excursion.
Also, the ship only had onboard approx 45 snorkels/fins/masks for 200 people. We took our own equipment but were still lumped together with everyone else. One day we spent 2 hours waiting on the beach for a 30 min snorkel. If you are not a snorkeller or diver then this would have been a fabulous trip however for us, who like the below the water experience, we felt we did not optimize the time in Raja Ampat. Still had a great trip and enjoyed our time though.

Hi, we have just returned from Antarctica and the Chilean fjords. WOW!!!!!!!! Our holiday was organised by Georgie and she was amazing, we were told that we would be met at the airport Buenos Aires and we were. Everything from then on went like clock work. We were so impressed we have booked again with Georgie for our trip tp Cambodia and Vietnam next read more year. Thank you Georgie for all your hard work.
An Arctic cruise that ticked all the boxes. 3 Wonders of the High Arctic: Greenland & Iceland Solar Eclipse Cruise Pam & Stephen, VIC, Australia, Jul 2023
Firstly, thank you to Georgie, who again helped us with the planning of this holiday and was always quick to answer any queries. We chose this cruise because of the itinerary and weren't disappointed. We got to sail 81 degrees north and see puffins, arctic terns, walrus and polar bears in their natural habitat. The ship was brand new and at first read more we thought it a bit too "glitzy" but we came to like its varied spaces, lighting, décor and the many dining options. The food and service was outstanding, and our deluxe veranda suite very comfortable.
Our only gripe was the flight from Oslo to Longyearbyen. We were divided into two groups, one group had a chartered direst flight to Longyearbyen and were served a meal. We were on a much longer, regular SAS flight which flew via Tromso, requiring us to go through security and immigration again. Any food or drink required payment, including water. We arrived at the ship much later in the afternoon than the other group.
