It would be good to include a visit to a coffee plantation and to learn more about the local cuisine, e.g. how to make injera.
Need to sort out accommodation at Laminkoto CampIt is way below acceptable standard. Other than that we had a great trip, Well done to all involved.
A good tour giving a good experience of Senegal and Gambia.

A good tour giving a good experience of Senegal and Gambia.
Earlier you had less People on the trip. This time you had 18 guests. This is to many and in the future we will search for trips With less participants. 10 -12 is a good number of participants.
Personally, I would have no problem paying a little more to ensure that the accommodation was of superior quality, but the trip was great.
This was a holiday of a lifetime for my daughter and I and allowed us to experience so many different things in a relatively short space of time and in a safe environment. Thank you, we will be back!
In my opinion the flight back through Miami was a better experience than through Houston on the way out. Excellent trip and a great tour leader. Made some great friends.
The "cooking dinner" in Petra and also in Wadi Rum was a nice experience. The guide was a very good chef and gave us good information about what we should eat. 5 stars!
I got the impression that the trip doesn't run regularly, therefore Dexter our trip guide didn't really provide us with lots of additional information - but he was always willing to find things out and make arrangements for us.
Concentrate on Belize and keep Tikal for Guatemala tours.

Discover Belize

Concentrate on Belize and keep Tikal for Guatemala tours. Cockscomb Reserve was done too late in the day for birding - we left Placencia very early and should have gone to straight to Cockscomb and had brunch afterwards, we wasted time having a long breakfast.
What might be helpful is to provide a map of Sri Lanka as part of the pack. We often found ourselves looking at maps at the train stations and others, trying to track our movements on the tour, and what the terrain looked like. Leech socks were useful, and were provided by Explore. We took gaiters, because we had trouble sourcing them in Australia, read more and as it turned out we didn't need to take them. We would recommend that leech socks be provided by Explore as standard.
Fantastic trip, The only other comment i would make is that the breakfast at the Ramada Princess in Belize City really was not up to much and of all the accommodation that we stayed in this was the only one that was disappointing..
Better planning required. 1

Would be an excellent trip if the itinerary was better planned to avoid the very long trip to Santa Lucia.
Would definitely recommend this trip. 1

It's great trip I would definitely recommend it. We were lucky also to have a really good group. A thoroughly enjoyable and thought provoking trip in the best tradition of Explore.
Thank you. 1

Thank you - fantastic trip and I will DEFINITELY travel with Explore! again!
Superb trip but would benefit from adding a couple more days and slowing down a bit so we could enjoy some of the beautiful accommodation that we stayed in.
Best Explore trip that I've been on.

Best Explore trip that I've been on. Due to the opening of the new airport at Istanbul our original flight was cancelled. Explore immediately informed us of this change and offered an alternative. Everything was taken care of effectively and efficiently. Thank you.
Balcik was fabulous and a lovely contrast to being in big cities.
Some members of the group were not as fit as they needed to be for the trek. If I remember correctly, Explore asks you if you are fit enough for the trip you are booking and you self-certify. It may be worth thinking of other ways of ensuring people can cope with the rigours of the trip.
Really enjoyed our tip and would recommend Explore to others but maybe they need to emphasise the need to bring appropriate clothing for temple visits in the travel notes. i.e. tops that cover shoulders and bottoms that cover the knees and socks to protect feet from the hot paving.
