Top Things to Do in Ko Samui:

In Bangkok, the old meets the new: Skyscrapers contrast ornate Thai temples, high-end cocktail bars lie around the corner from bustling stalls of street-food vendors, and tuk tuk rickshaws pedal beside cars on the busy streets. Ships will dock in Laem Chabang about a 2 hour drive from Bangkok.

Top Things to Do in Bangkok:

  • tour the Grand Palace
  • shop at a floating market
  • admire the Buddha at Wat Pho
  • enjoy street food on Khao San Road
  • view the city from Golden Mountain Temple
Port:Laem Chabang

Laem Chabang is the main port for cruises to Bangkok, situated about 120 kilometers (75 miles) southeast of the city, typically a 1.5 to 2-hour drive depending on traffic. For those looking to explore nearby attractions, Pattaya is only 30 kilometers (18 miles) away, a quick 30-40 minute drive. Pattaya offers beautiful beaches, vibrant nightlife, and cultural sites like the Sanctuary of Truth.

Sihanoukville, perched on the southern coast of Cambodia, is a gateway to the country's most idyllic islands and beaches. The city itself boasts a lively atmosphere with a blend of local culture and tourist-centric amenities. Here, markets brim with crafts and cuisine, offering a taste of the local lifestyle alongside the sandy stretches of Ochheuteal and Otres Beaches.

Beyond the hustle and bustle, the serene islands of Koh Rong and Koh Rong Samloem are just a short boat ride away. These islands provide stunning snorkeling and diving opportunities in crystal-clear waters, surrounded by lush jungle and soft, white sand beaches, making them perfect for a day trip away from the mainland.

Carnival Adventure has a huge variety of activities on board, including exciting waterslides, four relaxing pools, a thrilling Edge Adventure Park, plus a huge range of bars, entertainment and dining options.

You might start your day at the waterslides, or Edge Adventure Park, complete with ziplining, rock climbing and abseiling. Then enjoy a lazy morning poolside, followed by a delicious family lunch. Or, how about a relaxing massage at the day spa while the kids have the time of their lives in the kids clubs? Throw delicious dining at Luke’s Bar & Grill, great bars, and world-class entertainment into the mix and you’ve got yourself a holiday lineup that can only be described as an adventure - a Carnival Adventure!

Arrives: 07:00 Departs: 20:00

Over three decades have passed since the Vietnam War ended with the fall of Saigon. Today, the name of this bustling metropolis on the Mekong River is Ho Chi Minh City. Yet, the essence of the city, remains unchanged.

The air is filled with the cries of street hawkers and honking horns. Bicycles, motorbikes and cars fly down the boulevards at dizzying speeds. And everywhere, friendly faces and warm greetings meet you. Some popular activities while in port include riding a local pedicab through the bustling streets; visiting the vibrant markets, Chinatown and the fascinating Cu Chi tunnels.

Port:Phu My

Phu My serves as the starting point for excursions to Ho Chi Minh City, where you can explore vibrant markets, colonial architecture, and sites significant to Vietnam’s modern history, such as the War Remnants Museum and the Cu Chi Tunnels. Alternatively, the nearby Ba Ria offers a more subdued experience with traditional Vietnamese life, scenic countryside, and local markets, presenting a contrast to the urban intensity just a short drive away.

Evenings on board offer a variety of entertainment options. Relax in the main lounge with live music or head to the sky deck for cocktails under the stars. Daily briefings, fun games organized by the crew, and the company of fellow travellers ensure there's never a dull moment. With a range of activities and social opportunities, your evenings will be as enjoyable as your days.

80's cruise from Sydney 0 , New Zealand, Jul 2025
We made the 80's cruises in Carnival Adventure. Overall was really enjoyable, atmosphere on the cruise and especially the main shows were really good. Cabinets and overall state of the ship are very good too. Embarkation and disimbarkation process really organized and fast. Things not so good: There is not a lot of variety on food on The Pantry, and read more the daily entertainment was kind of short on options, with more of the activities focused only on Australian passengers. Is a good option anyways for a short break.
Never again 0 , New Zealand, May 2025
This was our first cruise as a family with a daughter who was 20 months at the time of travel. We were told cruises were family friendly but it couldn’t have been further from the truth. We spent 9 days walking up and down a boat as there was no play area not even a safe contained area for little ones. The kids club was shocking. No toys for her age read more and I looked through the older kids room and they were either watching tv or screaming crying. Not allowed in any of the pools as she was still in nappies (only found out the rule after we booked which wasn’t helpful!). The food was okay but nothing special. Very dated and tired and just felt as though we had stepped back in time. The itinerary advertised on day at Willis island which wasn’t even a stop we just sailed past it at 9pm at night in the dark. The only good thing about this whole trip was how lovely the staff were but honestly a holiday from hell.
