Itinerary

Your incredible journey of South Australia begins today as you are transferred to your hotel. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure before a welcome dinner at the hotel this evening with your Driver Guide and fellow passengers. Stay Two Nights: Port Lincoln Hotel (D)

After breakfast, drive along Whalers Way, stopping at lookouts over Lincoln National Park. Continue into the park itself where you'll have the option to walk up Stamford Hill.

Later, travel to Boston Bay Winery to enjoy lunch in a picturesque setting. Established in 1984, the winery produces an excellent range of red and white wines due to its high-quality soils and cool climate. (B/L/D)

Head to Ceduna, stopping at lookouts along the way for sensational view. En route, stop at the small coastal town of Elliston for lunch, situated on the shores of stunning Waterloo Bay.  Afterwards, enjoy a special Signature Experience. Stay: Streaky Bay Hotel (B/L/D)

Signature Experiences:
  • Along the journey you'll experience beautiful Coffin Bay coastal and township views plus learn the history of oyster farming and visit the first ever oyster lease in Coffin Bay.

Take a tour of the Ceduna Arts and Culture Centre, which provides skills, workshops, training, materials, a working environment and facilities for the creation of Indigenous art. Depart Ceduna and head to Point Labatt, where you may be able to spot some sea lions at one of the only permanent breeding colonies on Australia's mainland. Take a short drive around Point Westall before settling into the historic Streaky Bay Hotel for an overnight stay. Stay Two Nights: Ceduna Foreshore Hotel Motel (B/L/D)

Depart Ceduna early this morning for a full-day discovery. The adventure ends with a scenic flight back to Ceduna over the Dog Fence – a 5,614-kilometre barrier built to keep dingoes and wild dogs out of lands where sheep and cattle grazed. (B/L/D)

Signature Experiences:
  • Begin your day with a breathtaking flight over Fowlers Bay, Head Of Bight and the Bunda Cliffs. With vibrant blue waters and striking sheer cliffs, you'll enjoy a bird's-eye perspective of the stunning surrounds.

Depart Ceduna and travel to Pildappa Rock for lunch. Continue on to Kimba, known as the ‘halfway point across Australia'.

Continue your journey to the coastal town of Port Augusta. Stay: Port Augusta, Standpipe Golf Motor Inn (B/L/D)

This morning, visit the Wadlata Outback Centre in Port Augusta, before continuing on to the verdant Clare Valley wine region. Home to an emerging gourmet food scene, this charmingly secluded region is known for its rolling countryside and welcoming country pubs. Here, enjoy your signature experience, showcasing exceptional locally grown produce and wines of the region. Arrive in Adelaide and celebrate the end of your journey during a farewell dinner. Stay: Adelaide, The Playford (B/L/D)

Signature Experiences:
  • Visit the highly acclaimed Watervale Hotel for a delightful meal featuring local produce from their organic, bio-dynamic farm in the Clare Valley.

Your journey comes to an end today with a transfer to Adelaide Airport for your onward flight. (B)

Missed Maralinga 0 , VIC, Australia, Apr 2022
Maralinga & Eyre Peninsula tour in April was quite good in most respects, but various things, such as some accommodation and roadside picnics, we’re not up to our expectations, given the cost and APT’s reputation.
The Maralinga flights were cancelled due fog in William Creek. Pilots should have positioned to Ceduna the night before. We were told this ...read more had happened before, so APT and William Creek Air should be prepared with alternative Maralinga visit plans. Almost two weeks after this non-event, we have heard nothing from APT re compensation for this full day nonevent. It’s cost would have been a substantial portion of the whole tour. Very disappointed.
