Itinerary

Welcome to the historic capital of the Northern Territory and a former frontier outpost. Take a tour of a city rich in Indigenous culture, renowned for its tropical climate, World War II history, and breathtaking sunsets which paint the skies in warm, wonderous hues. Learn about the history of military conflict on Australian shores during a visit to the impressive Darwin Military Museum, including the 1942 bombing of Darwin.

The museum is located inside the beautiful East Point Reserve, a rocky headland boasting incredible sea views and the location of one of Australia's main lines of defence against attacks from the north in World War II. This afternoon, explore beautiful Standley Chasm at your own pace on a self-guided walk. Nestled in the West MacDonnell National Park, this geological marvel is a sacred place of immense importance to the local Arrernte people. After breakfast visit the Alice Springs Desert Park, where the desert comes alive surrounded by the majestic Red Centre landscapes.

Afterwards, set off on a tour of ‘The Alice' that will include a visit to the Royal Flying Doctor Tourist Facility. Be fascinated by the history and technology of this all-important facility and the people who contributed to its operation.

Later, venture deeper into Kata Tjuta National Park, seeing Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and visiting the Cultural Centre with time to wander through the exhibitions on show to learn more about Anangu culture and the park's natural environment.   • The breathtaking Field Of Light exhibition is the brainchild of artist Bruce Munro, who first came to Uluru in 1992 and started sketching his idea in a book. Now it is one of the largest and well-known installations in Australia's history. As darkness falls, witness the incredible colours light up the desert creating a spectacular show of sensory delight.

After breakfast, you'll board your private jet for your flight to Port Augusta, with stunning aerial views of outback South Australia.

On arrival, set off on a guided tour including a visit to the Wadlata Outback Centre to discover more about the history and ecology of this region.

This afternoon, journey by road to the Ikara-Flinders Ranges National Park, travelling through classic Outback landscapes. Arrive in the scenic wonder of Wilpena Pound, a natural rock amphitheatre cradled within two mountain ranges. Stay Two Nights: Wilpena Pound Resort (B/L/D)

This morning, set out on a walk to explore the incredible natural surrounds of Wilpena Pound. Look out for native wildlife as you wander among red river gums and native pines that grow throughout this spectacular 800-million-year-old landscape. Today you'll journey back to Port Augusta via the beautiful railway town of Quorn, located in the Flinders Ranges. You will have the chance to explore this historic location, filled with charming heritage buildings that have been a backdrop for films including Gallipoli and Wolf Creek just Northeast of Port Augusta. Reboard your private jet for your flight to Adelaide. Enjoy an in-depth tour of Adelaide and its famous landmarks, including the town of Glenelg, known for its bustling food scene, stunning beach, and seaside charm.
