Itinerary

Welcome to the historic capital of the Northern Territory and a former frontier outpost. Take a tour of the town, rich in Indigenous culture exhibited in galleries and museums. Darwin is a destination known for plenty of vibrant outdoor eateries and markets to enjoy the tropical climate. Visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service Facility and be fascinated by the history and technology of this all-important facility and the people who contributed to its operation. Stay Two Nights: Vibe Hotel Darwin Waterfront

Enjoy a full day visiting Litchfield National Park, home to stunning waterfalls, lush rainforest, breathtaking landscapes and iconic magnetic termite mounds. Take in the magnificent scenery with a walk up the falls or swim in one of the waterholes offering respite from the heat. It is truly a magical natural wonder. Later this evening, enjoy a Signature Experience on Darwin Harbour. (B/L/D)

Signature Experiences:
  • Marvel at the exquisite colours changing before your eyes as the sun goes down on a sunset dinner cruise. Enjoy fresh, local produce while you relax and take in the unique scenery that surrounds you.

Head south to the Red Centre and the spiritual heart of the continent, Uluru.

Tonight, enjoy the stunning Sounds of Silence dinner, an evening of dining under the sparkling outback sky. Begin with canapes and sparkling wine followed by a bush-tucker-inspired three-course meal. Finally, an astronomer will decode the stars in the brilliant desert skies, pointing out planets, galaxies and more. Stay Two Nights: Uluru, Desert Gardens Hotel (B/D)

Begin the day with a contemplative Signature Experience before visiting the Uluru-Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre to deepen your understanding of the region, the culture and history of the local Anangu people, and the natural environment. Later, view the magnificent Kata Tjuta rock formations. You may also wish to experience the acclaimed Field of Light art installation (own expense). (B)

Signature Experiences:
  • Rise early to watch dawn break over Uluru. Witness the day's first light bathe the rock in colour and stretch across the landscape, bringing the Red Centre to life. Then take a walk around Uluru's base to discover its surprising variety of landscapes – gorges, waterholes, caves, woodlands and grassed areas.

Board your private jet bound for tropical Queensland. View the spectacle of the Great Barrier Reef as you continue to Cairns. Enjoy a guided tour of the town and discover the stunning palm-fringed beach of Palm Cove as you stroll along the jetty, marvel at one of the best exhibitions of tropical plants in Australia at Cairns Botanic Gardens, and enjoy the buzzing Cairns waterfront area with its wide selection of exquisite eateries and bars and the stunning lagoon.

Afterwards, check in to your luxurious hotel, situated on the Esplanade overlooking the marina. Stay: Cairns, Shangri-La The Marina (B/D)

Fly to Hervey Bay and board a ferry to transfer to K'gari (Fraser Island), the world's largest sand island and an area of remarkable natural beauty. It was listed as a World Heritage Area in 1992 to recognise the island's internationally significant natural features. Settle into your accommodation and enjoy a sunset drink this evening. Stay Two Nights: K'gari (Fraser Island), Kingfisher Bay Resort (B/D)

Today, explore the stunning K'gari (Fraser Island). Your guide is an expert with local knowledge and a passion for the island. On this adventurous day out, you'll drive across sand tracks to explore some of the most beautiful natural spots and listen to fascinating facts about the island's history, flora and fauna. Visit Lake McKenzie (Boorangoora) – the island's most iconic, picture-perfect swimming spot. Immerse yourself in the crystal-clear blue fresh water and relax on the sandy white beaches.

Wander through the subtropical rainforest and drive along 75 Mile Beach where you may spot dingoes, birds of prey flying above, or humpback whales migrating down the coast (between July –November). Learn about the radiant, cliff-like sand formations and the Indigenous Dreamtime stories that surround them. Enjoy a buffet lunch of fresh local produce before returning to your resort with free time this evening. (B/L)

Ferry from K'gari (Fraser Island) to Hervey Bay and fly to Sydney, then, after your Signature Experience, witness the magical colours of Sydney's iconic landscape change by the minute as the sun sets over this magnificent city on a delightful sunset dinner cruise. Have your camera ready for some spectacular shots as you enjoy a three-course meal with some world-class views of the famous Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge. Stay: Sheraton Grand Sydney Hyde Park (B/D)

Signature Experiences:
  • Uncover the authentic history of First Nations' saltwater heritage with a leisurely guided walk around Sydney's popular tourist spot, The Rocks. Be fascinated by the ecology, astronomy, marine biology and ancient Indigenous wisdom that weaves itself throughout this area and the saltwater people's spiritual connection to the adjoining waterways.

This morning, head to Blue Mountains for a visit. Enjoy the unique rugged landscapes, stunning waterfalls and sheer vastness of this iconic mountain range that is named for its native tree vapour scattering blue light from the sun, casting a blue hue over the ranges. Return to the airport in Sydney for your flight to Melbourne, where your remarkable journey ends. (B)
