Arriving early in Cochem, join a guided morning tour through this charming town, surrounded by vineyards, including a visit to its striking landmark, the Reichsburg castle towering above the town. Prefer wine? Join a visit to a local vinothek to explore the world of Moselle wines. At midday, leave Germany's second-smallest district town behind and cruise along the winding Moselle to Koblenz, arriving late in the evening.

Upper Middle Rhine Valley & Lorelei Rock

In the morning, enjoy a guided tour in Koblenz at the Deutsches Eck, including a cable car ride over the Rhine to the impressive Ehrenbreitstein Fortress and a sparkling tasting at the Sekt Museum. Then, embark on a panoramic cruise through the castle-lined Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site - a truly unforgettable highlight - before your ship transitions from the Rhine to the Main in the evening.

Relax on board in the morning and take in the romantic Main river loops. In the afternoon, explore the “Main pearls” of Miltenberg and Wertheim during two connected guided city walks. These charming old towns, with their many timber-framed houses, are truly picturesque

Full-day excursion to Rothenburg ob der Tauber

In Würzburg, choose between a guided city tour including the splendid Residence with its grand staircase, Tiepolo frescoes, and Imperial Hall, or a full-day trip to the medieval gem Rothenburg ob der Tauber. On a city walk through Würzburg, enjoy the marketplace, Falkenhaus, Marienkapelle, and the Old Main Bridge, and savor a glass of Franconian wine with panoramic views of the Main and Marienberg Fortress.

For Rothenburg, a transfer takes you to the medieval city, followed by lunch and a guided tour of the historic center with Plönlein, the Town Hall, and charming streets. Then, enjoy free time to explore the quaint streets, half-timbered houses, and small shops at your own pace.

Bamberg by bike or on foot

In the afternoon, depart from the picturesque Main Market Square for a guided city walk or e-bike tour of Bamberg. The former imperial and bishopric city boasts over 2,000 protected monuments and a historic cityscape recognized as UNESCO World Heritage. Back on board, your AMADEUS ship gently glides from the Main to the Main-Danube Canal, continuing the journey.

After breakfast, explore Nuremberg, the Franconian metropolis rich in history and gingerbread aromas. A guided tour takes you through the Imperial Castle, magnificent churches, Henkersteg, and Weinstadel, immersing you in the vibrant history of this former Free Imperial City. A tasting of the world-famous Nuremberg gingerbread completes the experience, just as Franconian monks did in the 13th century. In the afternoon, the ship continues along the Main-Danube Canal, passing the 17 km long summit level, crossing the Franconian Jura as Europe's Rhine-Danube watershed. The day ends with a festive gala dinner.

Bavarian Evening on board

Arriving in Regensburg, enjoy a guided morning tour of the medieval old town, with churches, monasteries, the town hall, and the famous 12th-century bridge. Marvel at St. Peter's Cathedral and sense the historic power of this trading city. In the afternoon, choose between visiting the magnificent Thurn and Taxis Palace with its brewery and a beer with pretzel, or experiencing Weltenburg Abbey along the Danube, with its Asam Church and centuries-old monastic history. The day concludes with a Bavarian evening on board—delicious cuisine, music, and cheerfully immerse you in the spirit of Bavaria.

Disembarkation after breakfast
