The scenery inland is quite outstanding with dozens of deep, chiseled valleys and gorges of extreme, austere beauty. If we had just 1 gorge of that quality anywhere in the UK, we'd have declared it a National Monument. Loved our walking trip, but It is literally the nature of the place that several walks offered almost no shade. But this needs to be considered in selecting walking routes and alternatives for future Gran Isla walking tours.
