Picton Cruise 0
Jake and Marie, Taranaki, New Zealand, Aug 2024
Although the weather had different ideas, our destination soon became the Bay of Islands. Even so the overall cruise was memorable and affordable. Thanks Sam and the Global Journeys team.
To our surprise not Picton, but Paihia! 1

Our mini-suite was great, and very spacious. Recommend it to all. Lack of information about our destination was a real let down, and Carnival (formerly P&O) cruises has lost our custom because of not only this, but also really bad quality entertainment! Rachel who did our booking was great, friendly and efficient! Many thanks.
Pacific Explorer First time cruise 0

Hi Global Journeys! This being our first time cruise everything felt so smooth and almost too good to be true as if it was a scam. We had never been on one let alone planned for one so first off I'd love to thank Hannah Perry for making the booking process super smooth by answering all my questions and making everything so easy to understand. The Carnival read more (formerly P&O) cruise was amazing!!!! The hospitality, room service and amenities were always tidy, very professional and delicious 😍😍😍. There were no boring bits, I loved the good times we recieved each day and how they made sure to have the day jam packed full of activities and games. My favorite was the white party and the gatsby party. Overall I give that cruise a 10/10 I wish it was longer.
New Zealand 4 Day Cruise 0

Amazing time on the P&O Explorer, sadly gone by now. Shows and daily entertainment were amazing, a good short break on the middle of the year. We will miss P&O NZ based cruises.
Loved PNG. Did not love the boat. 1
Lorraine and Marian, Australia, Aug 2024
I felt the boat is looking old. The food offered not good quality. Or variety. There is plenty of food but rarely anything fresh and often. Cool to warm. Rather than hot. All staff were excellent, on board and off. Entertainment was limited to very basic, except for a very articulate and interesting historian who presented 3 talks on PNG. I loved visiting PNG.

Ziggy and myself went for a 4 day break and rest. The Blanc de Blanc show was fabulous and so was the ship’s company show - very professional. Things to do during the day and plenty of nightlife. Had a very nice four days. Thank you

You have done a wonderful job sorting my cruise out. The cruise wasn’t as good as other companies. We got mocktail, coffee drinks cards. Excited and got to the bar to order a mocktail they only gave a choice of two mocktails kiwi fruit or lychee flavoured - great introduction gosh, real downer, bar staff gave the feeling that we’re cheap. The duty free read more only stocked blue cartons of smokes $81 for 8 packets of 25s. If you wanted Red you could purchase from the cafe a packet for around $50 not completely sure. Pretty bad, hard choice, got a carton of smokes. Bottles range from about $40 Australian thankfully Port Vila had good prices. I won 2 tickets for massages they were looking at me side ways when I booked in for them. My daughter went in before me and came out after me. Gosh they’re money hungry 😋. The food would be considered wonderful for some but compared to other ships doesn’t compare. I did enjoy the cruise. My rating is for you Tracey 10/10 thanks!
Great cruise! 1

We really enjoyed our cruise over to New Zealand. I enjoyed the food and activities put on by Carnival (formerly P&O) in particular. It was excellent value for money. I wish they had a bigger dance floor for the theme nights. Particularly on the Gatsby night, there were lots of people dressed up but not able to dance because the platform in the atrium read more was too small. I would recommend that the Blue Room or Explorer bar is set up for the party from the outset. It was particularity odd having the party in the small atrium with lots of people standing around on the stairs looking down. The boat is a bit tired but I suppose that's to be expected given it is being sold to carnival soon. Overall, we had a great time.
Hassle free booking. 2

Hannah took great care of us from beginning to end. Answered any questions we had, promptly and efficiently. This was our first ever cruise and booking through Global Journeys made the process easy. The cruise was wonderful. We had a great time and have decided that we will be going on future cruises. Antarctica is definitely on our bucket list!
Enjoyable cruise 2
John, Australia, Apr 2024
An enjoyable cruise but it took hours to get everyone off at Phillip Island. We had priority but some people couldn't get off until 4 hours after we anchored at 8:15am. Makes it a very short visit when you need to be back on by 4pm. The food on the ship could be a lot better, and the bar service was quite slow at times. The suite was spacious.
Enjoyable cruise 3

Generally an enjoyable cruise. The suite was spacious, the service was good. But the food on Carnival (formerly P&O) could be a lot better. The buffet really is pretty poor and even the restaurant food could have a lot more variety. The menu changes a lot less than on the previous cruise.
Wonderful time! Would like to organise another cruise please Rachael.

Thank you Rachael for organising this trip for us. Faye and I really enjoyed the cruise. We didn’t want it to end! The crew were amazing as was the food and the shows. Carnival (formerly P&O) knows how to give cruisers a good time! Once again, thanks!

Good Value cruise to NZ with Carnival (formerly P&O) 2
Kath, QLD, Australia, Feb 2024
I did have a good time. Too long for me though - 14 day cruise with 5 shore days. I hate to queue which is a big part of ship life. Loved the kind, hard working staff and had lots of laughs and singalongs in the Encounter Hotel. Great price and no complaints about Carnival (formerly P&O).

First experience on a cruise for both of us, we had an amazing time, plenty to do, great music and entertainment and fancy dress to turn back time. Food was great and drinks are normal prices. We will do it again!
Carnival (formerly P&O) Australia Day Cruise 3
Gary and Susan, NSW, Australia, Jan 2024
Global Journeys were great in arranging this cruise. Unfortunately Carnival (formerly P&O) (sponsors of the Australia Day events on the harbour) severely let us down. Last time (2019) we were anchored in the middle of the action. We talked this up to some of the first time cruisers with our group. This year (2024) the harbour had very little action read more you could see from the ship. The much vaunted "Ferry Boat Race" did not even come near the ship. It rounded Fort Denison twice and most of that view was blocked by Navy Vessel L100, giving the elite dignitaries an excellent view and the loss to those on board the Ship. Food and entertainment on board was excellent - the show on the last night was spectacular.
A 5 day cruise which went in circles outside Brisbane
3
Alick, SA, Australia, Jan 2024
Since I had not been on a cruise, I booked this 5 day cruise from Brisbane to Airlie Beach and back with Carnival (formerly P&O). Due to a cyclone, the vessel could not go to Airlie beach, so then just went in circles, with a stop off at Moreton Island, which is about 25 km from Brisbane. Despite the vessel looking old once on board, with peeling wall read more paper and obvious rust being painted over, the cruise experience was fine, with all staff helpful. Note that this was during school holidays so there were apparently 700 kids on board out of a total of 2900 passengers. The visit to Moreton Island was poorly organised since at the end of the visit, there were 100s of us stuck on a jetty with 30 degree heat and no shade for over an hour due to the slow and infrequent feeder boats between the island and the vessel. Hannah from Global Journeys was excellent in organising the booking at relatively short notice.
Excellent Holiday 4
Wasantha and Geetha , ACT, Australia, Dec 2023
This was our first Cruise and we've really enjoyed. Everything was awesome and nothing to complain about. Carnival (formerly P&O) staff were very welcoming and their hospitality was great. We both very happy and looking forward to book for a another cruise after the next overseas holiday.
Five days to Melbourne 9
Grethe and Reginald , New Zealand, Nov 2023
Worst cruise we ever have done! Cabin on the bow of the ship, nearest elevator the length of half the ship away. All so called complimentary dining venues sold out. Left only meals upstairs, always full and hard to get a table, walking with a walker and getting food was impossible! NEVER again on Carnival (formerly P&O) Australia!
