Whether you are taking some ‘me’ time, simply prefer to travel solo, or perhaps are cruising with others but still want your own space, Norwegian Cruise Line has you covered. With Norwegian’s solo offerings, single cruisers no longer have to fork out the same as a couple would for the same experience. Here is how Norwegian is changing the face of solo cruising.
Norwegian Cruise Line offers Studios exclusively for single passengers on Norwegian Escape, Norwegian Bliss, Norwegian Breakaway, Norwegian Getaway, Norwegian Epic, and Pride of America.
These Studios are designed for one guest only and are priced accordingly. Each studio is equipped with a comfortable bed, separate sink and shower, a flat screen TV, and a safe. They are modern and make use of the space well, which averages 100 sq. ft, although this differs depending on ship and studio configuration.
If a Studio is not available on your ship, Norwegian offers a solo cruiser discount on regular staterooms on select cruises. This means that even if you are travelling alone you don’t necessarily have to pay the full single supplement and can still enjoy the extra space of a regular stateroom all to yourself.
If neither a Studio nor the solo cruiser discount is available on your chosen cruise, you can still book any available stateroom for single occupancy. You’ll generally be paying double the cruise fare to do so (although you’ll only be charged one set of stateroom gratuities and taxes).
If you are travelling on a ship offering Studios for solos, along with a stylish space all to yourself, Studio guests will also have private key card access to the Studio Complex and Lounge (not offered on Pride of America). In the Studio Lounge you can mingle with other solo travellers, enjoy complimentary refreshments throughout the day, put your feet up in front of the big screen, or maybe even order some room service.
On board Norwegian sailings, guests can enjoy meet ups arranged for solo travellers to mingle and get to know each other, and you may even find a pub crawl to join on some ships. There are also plenty of events dedicated to different special interests so you can get to know likeminded travellers, regardless of whether they are cruising solo or with others.
Whether you choose to travel solo because you like your privacy and alone time on holidays, or you like to branch out and meet new people not part of your usual entourage, you can find the perfect blend of experiences on a Norwegian cruise.
Join in as many onboard and onshore activities as you choose, mingle with others or enjoy solo adventures, or spend as much time in the privacy of your stateroom as you desire. On a cruise you have everything at your fingertips to be as busy and social as you’d like, and plenty of space to enjoy some ‘me’ time just the way you want. Your cruise, your way.
