Avalon Waterways Choice Program

In 2019 Avalon Waterways will offer river cruisers three excursion styles as part of the new Avalon Waterways Choice program. Guests can experience the world in a whole new way and tailor their holiday to suit their interests and travel style. The three options available are Classic, Discovery, and Active.

Classic Excursions

On Classic excursions, guests are guided by local experts to unearth the history and heritage of the destination. A local guide will showcase iconic and ‘must-see’ historic sites while sharing insights and stories of legends and lore.

Discovery Excursions

Discovery excursions are designed to engage travellers in interactive activities and immerse them in the culture of a region. These have been created to cater to traveller interests and can be anything from a cooking class to a painting workshop.

Active Excursions

Active excursions give more energetic travellers the option to hike, bike and paddle their way through each destination. Guests may wake up early for a guided jog along the river banks or a cycle trip through terraced vineyards.
