In summary, a great cruise all-up which we can recommend. The ports we visited were very busy so next time we would try and sail outside Greek tourist season. Santorini was crowded and queues both ends of the cableway were crazy. We queued for two to three hours in 38c heat and no overhead protection. We ended up walking down the 588 steps slippery with donkey c..p everywhere. We in concert with many tourists would not ride the poor overworked donkeys on principle. We did not find a single waste bin anywhere so consequently, there were plastic and glass bottles and plastic bags everywhere - disgraceful. Certainly not a village to be visited a second time. Thank you for arranging such a wonderful enjoyable cruise for us.

FAQ's Frequently asked questions for those considering traveling with Celestyal Cruises
Do Celestyal Cruises cater for solo travellers?
Celestyal offer a reduced single supplement on our interior and exterior staterooms across all our cruises. Supplements are just up to 50% of the cruise fare, meaning you only pay full fare for yourself plus up to 50% for the extra personal space. Those wishing to book a suite can benefit from a single supplement of no more than 100% of the cruise fare.
Do I have to pre-book shore excursions?
You have the option to purchase shore excursions online (we will provide you with details on how to do this once your booking is confirmed) or onboard the ship during your cruise. Some excursions are very popular and therefore availability cannot always be guaranteed. It is advisable to book early to avoid disappointment.
What is the currency used onboard?
The currency on board is the Euro. Cash is not accepted on board in any of Celestyal's bars, restaurants or shops. Instead all purchases are charged to your account and settled at the end of your cruise.
What’s included in my cruise fare?
Celestyal One (that's the name for Celestyal's cruise fare) includes port charges, gratuities (tips), complimentary WiFi, meals, soft drinks throughout the day and onboard entertainment. When it comes to extra beverages and specialty dining, CelestyalPay allows you to either add the charges to your account as you go, or you can prepay when you book with us! Think of it as a dedicated food and drink tab!
What is the included WiFi like?
Celestyal One includes free essential WiFi for every guest, every day, so you can stay connected. The package allows guests to browse the web, send emails and even text familiy and friends via select messaging apps. If you're still hungry for more data, don't worry - Celestyal have additional upgrade options to purchase onboard that wil allow you to email larger files, share photos or videos on social media, use streaming apps or make video calls.
Do any of the stateroom’s windows open?
No, they do not open. Only balcony suites have doors that open from the inside.
What type of amenities will I find in my stateroom?
All staterooms are equipped with shower, WC, air condition, telephone, TV, safety boxes and hairdryers. All suites have refrigerated mini bars.
Is there room service available, for free?
You will receive a room service menu in your stateroom. Room service is at extra charge.
Is there a medical center on-board?
We have a well-equipped medical center and a doctor on standby for first aid whenever we are at sea. Anytime during your cruise, our ship’s doctor schedules appointments, unless there is an emergency. Should you require on-board medical care or any medication, your personal account will be charged accordingly. Please do check with your health insurance provider, if any of the costs can be reimburse to you. We will provide you with a receipt that can be submitted accordingly.
Are vaccinations required to visit Greece and Turkey?
No, vaccinations are not required to visit Greece and Turkey.
