Beautiful landscape   0 The Indian Pacific - Perth To Sydney , NSW, Australia, Dec 2025
Once again Tracey helped us greatly with our booking. Prior to boarding the Indian Pacific at East Perth terminal, canapés and drinks were served on the platform. As it was a hot day it would have been preferred inside the terminal (air conditioned ). Once onboard the staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. Platinum cabin and service was great! read more Food was excellent too. On board entertainment was provided by a singer/musician who played in the various lounges throughout the journey. Excursions taken were excellent: Curious Kalgoorlie, star gazing at Cook, dinner at Seppeltsfield Winery(wonderful food pairing, dinner and musicians), walking tour with Shelita in Broken Hill(very entertaining and tasty canapés provided).

Journey overnight from Adelaide was a bit rocky due to the tracks otherwise the journey was very pleasant. Was a wonderful journey through varying scenery across Australia. Thank you Tracey & Global Journeys for another great holiday.
Relaxing trip on the Indian-Pacific 0 The Indian Pacific - Perth To Sydney , NSW, Australia, Jul 2025
This was a great way to unwind after a physically demanding trip around the Kimberley. The single cabin is small but comfortable and well-designed. The food was outstanding, the off-train excursions were fun, and there was plenty of time to sit and watch the scenery go by. Tracey was great with the booking and always answered any queries in a timely read more manner - taking all the hassle out of organizing the trip.
Excellent trip so pleased we did it! 0 The Ghan - Adelaide To Alice Springs , United Kingdom, Jul 2025
A brilliant journey across Australia. We went as far as Alice Springs (which was enough for us as we didn't sleep particularly well on the train), food, drinks and service were excellent. We would highly recommend this.
Most fun ever getting from Darwin to Adelaide 0 The Ghan Expedition , NSW, Australia, Jun 2025
Absolute no-hassle short break. Usual great service from Global Journeys, and excellent from Journey Beyond as well. From the pickup at the hotel and transfer to the rail terminal, where there was a great breakfast spread and live music while we waited to board to the drop off at the Adelaide terminal, everything was laid on and everyone was friendly read more and helpful. All of the off-train experiences were top-notch and the food, both on train and during excursion was excellent. The single sleeper was well designed but I wouldn't recommend it to tall people. I fitted very comfortably but I am also only just over 160cm tall. I would have no hesitations traveling with Journey Beyond again - Indian Pacific next!
Four days on a Train 0 The Indian Pacific - Sydney To Perth , QLD, Australia, May 2025
A marvelous experience overall; train accommodation and food/service was superb all the way. Some (very) bumpy sections - rail/ballast replacement a must - and numerous long dead stops for passing traffic delayed progress. A marvelous way to see just how big Australia really is. WiFi coverage very patchy - a good thing in many ways to allow us to disconnect read more from technology and connect with people, but I doubt teenagers would see it that way. They would have to start talking to their parents - a horrible concept for both parties. The last night open-air dinner for 200 was special - tables right alongside the train, and a big starry sky. Incredible big finish to a wonderful adventure.
Unbelievable Northern Territory   0 The Ultimate Territory Tour , QLD, Australia, Mar 2025
We had a most wonderful experience visiting NT. The Ghan experience from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then Alice to Darwin was truly amazing - we were treated as valued guests. The 8 day Red Centre tour with driver Chris and wife Ella were delightful and always there to help - Ella's impromptu lunches were delicious! Chris certainly knew his history. read more The 3 day Outback Spirit Kakadu trip was also amazing - Pascale and Ash looked after us. Outback Spirit certainly provided the trip were were after!
Wonderful Indian Pacific train journey across Australia 0 The Indian Pacific - Perth To Sydney , QLD, Australia, Dec 2024
I travelled in a gold single cabin on the Indian Pacific train journey. Wonderful staff who are extremely helpful and friendly to the extent that when the air conditioning deteriorated in our dining car they went above and beyond and offered us 3 options of dining on the 2nd night: we could still eat in the extremely hot dining car; have room service read more in our rooms or the most popular option was "have a party in the lounge carriage": the staff brought out platters of everything on the dinner menu in bite sized portions, including servings of salad and vegetables, with normal whole servings of desserts.

The customer service manager for our 4 carriages arranged for the musician to perform an unscheduled set for us and she raided the Platinum bar and provided many bottles of Bollinger champagne. They well and truly created a party atmosphere - we didn't go hungry and the champagne flowed! All carriages were very clean and tidy, the food was fabulous - great variety, very good quality and great service. The bed was comfortable but I found the noise of the train made it difficult to sleep. I think as well as the chocolate that's placed on your bed each night they should also provide ear plugs.

A quick stop in Adelaide where I enjoyed the opportunity to visit Adelaide Central Markets. The Blue Mountains off train experience was great - skyway, cable car, the world's steepest passenger train and lunch. The evening stop in Kalgoorlie was a waste of time as we couldn't see anything in the dark. We got off the train some time after 9pm and didn't re-board till 12.50am! I hope to do another train journey in the future but will definitely source ear plugs!
The Indian Pacific - Perth To Sydney 0 The Indian Pacific - Perth To Sydney , ACT, Australia, Nov 2024
Fellow travelers were an interesting mix of Aussies and overseas. Food was satisfactory. Some commentary on the scenery would have made it more interesting. The staff were wonderful. Sleepless nights and required early mornings left us feeling very exhausted. We expected a smoother ride. Overall not value for money. Global Journeys as always were helpful.
