Rich in parks, sweeping vistas and architectural styles, Montevideo is blessed with a subtropical climate, guaranteeing warm summers and mild winters. Argentina's capital is a vibrant and eclectic mix of Latin and European influences. Your overnight stay will allow you to better explore the city's wide boulevards and cozy, tree-lined barrios, or neighborhoods. This evening, savor a three-course dinner during a home-hosted visit with a local resident, enjoying a treasured Argentine pastime of food and community.

Enjoy more of Buenos Aires as you bike through its expansive system of parklands, through historic neighborhoods such as Recoleta and past iconic landmarks. The Cidade Maravilhosa, or 'Marvelous City,' is blessed with a stunning setting so unique that UNESCO gave it World Heritage Site status. Gaze at the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue perched atop Corcovado mountain and admire the azure-blue waters as they lap against the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema. Take a cable car to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain and marvel at the panoramic vistas below.

Enjoy a second day to discover more of Rio de Janeiro and its beautiful surroundings. Hike a steep trail to the summit of looming Morro Dois Irmãos, where sweeping views of Rio await. Paddle by kayak to Cotunduba Island, along the way getting a water-level perspective of the city's many iconic landmarks.

The natural beauty in and around Rio is one of its hallmarks. Well known for the many beaches that dot its 152 miles of coastline, even more impressive is Tijuca National Park, which is part of the city's UNESCO World Heritage Site. Take to the air in a helicopter for a bird's-eye view of Rio and its lush surroundings. Marvel at iconic landmarks such as Corcovado, with its iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, and the beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema from above.

Búzios was a sleepy fishing port before French actress Brigitte Bardot visited in 1964. Witness the fascinating vestiges of Old Portugal along its streets: the soaring neoclassical baroque Cathedral of Sé, the waterfront Ver-o-Peso market brimming with all manner of local goods and the intricately painted azulejos on colonial buildings.

Experience life along the numerous channels that comprise the Guamá River during a journey to the village of Boa Vista do Acará, where you will meet the locals, known as Ribeirinhos. Call on Île Royale (Royal Island), one of the three Îles du Salut that belong to the French Guiana mainland. Glide across the water in a RIB, exploring the scenic coastline en route to the white-sand beaches and warm turquoise waters of the island of Anegada. Or, take to the air for a bird's-eye view of the British Virgin Islands during an exhilarating flightseeing excursion.

Explore the lush foothills of El Yunque National Forest, a tropical rainforest, on horseback or by foot, or paddle through the mangrove forest at Laguna Grande for a chance to see the sparkling swirls of water glowing with bioluminescent microorganisms. Alternatively, relax in the sun or snorkel during a scenic boat trip to an uninhabited island in the La Cordillera Nature Reserve.
