This morning, take a step back in time and visit the Cu Chi Tunnels, built by Vietnamese resistance fighters during the Vietnam War. Part of a larger network, the tunnels were used by Viet Cong guerrillas as hiding spots during combat. (B)

Disembark this morning for a tour of Oknha Tey, or ‘Silk Island', located on the lush banks of the Mekong River. Tour the village and see the traditional silk weaving that has been preserved for centuries. This afternoon, set sail for Angkor Ban. (B/L/D)

Disembark this morning for a walking tour of Angkor Ban, one of the few traditional villages left in Cambodia. Later cruise to Kampong Cham before an Insider Experience. (B/L/D)

Known for its remarkable collection of Terracotta Warriors, a discovery of Xi'an awaits today. Admire the excavation pits that have housed the thousands of sculptures since around 210 BC. Bid farewell to your river ship and disembark at Maoping Pier, Yichang. Spend the morning at the Three Gorges Dam Site and take in the colossal scale of the world's largest hydropower project. This morning transfer to Suzhou, a city famous for its labyrinth of canals and bridges, as well as its gardens. Visit the Master of the Nets Garden, one of the finest classical gardens in China. After lunch, visit the city's 100-year-old Silk Mill and Garden of Cultivation, a wonderfully preserved example of a Ming Dynasty classical garden. End the day's explorations with a transfer to Pingjiang Road for a scenic canal cruise before returning to Shanghai. (B/L)
