Insider Experience: Visit the gold mining town of Beaconsfield, and take a guided tour of the Mine and Heritage Centre.

Drive through northern Tasmania's wine-producing area en route to an Insider Experience. Continue on to the seaside town of Bicheno, where you may like to see the fairy or little penguins (additional expense). Stay: Beachfront Bicheno (B/D)

Insider Experience: At Bridestowe Lavender Estate, enjoy a guided tour of the distillery and sample the unique lavender-inspired fare.

Home to pristine beaches, rugged landscapes and granite peaks, Freycinet is a place of breathtaking natural beauty. Explore the park and take in the stunning surrounds. On the way to Port Arthur, see how nature and time have created spectacular rock formations such as the Tessellated Pavement and Tasman Arch. Stay: Port Arthur Motor Inn (B/D)

Insider Experience: Travel into Freycinet National Park to enjoy a walk with a naturalist guide.

At Port Arthur Historic Site, join a cruise around the Isle of the Dead and hear haunting stories about the convicts buried there. This small capital city sure packs a punch, with an endless supply of dining, cultural and nature-based experiences available. Stay Two Nights: RACV Hobart Hotel (B)

Insider Experience: Embark on a guided tour of the Port Arthur Historic Site, once Australia's most notorious convict prison.

A fantastic array of art, handicrafts, food and oddities awaits you today at the Salamanca Market. Housing over 300 stalls, the market has plenty of goods on offer, from tantalising Tasmanian gin to hand-crafted jewellery. Alternatively, you might like to take a thrilling cruise along the rugged Bruny Island coastline (additional expense). (B)

Russell Falls is a jewel in the crown of Mt Field National Park. After a short walk to see the falls, marvel at the pristine shores of Lake St Clair. Travel by coach to the town of Strahan and enjoy a buffet dinner at View 42º Restaurant & Bar this evening. Stay: Strahan Village Hilltop (B/D)

Begin your day with an Insider Experience. Re-join your coach and journey through stirring landscapes bound for Cradle Mountain. Stay: Cradle Mountain Hotel (B/L/D)

Tasman Discovery 2 , NSW, Australia, Nov 2022
Great trip with the "A" Team as Guide and Driver! The Guide was a born and bred Taswegian with a real passion for the Island and as such had so much to pass on in terms of value add! I was taken by the diversity of vegetation the climate, the ingenuity and of course the history of such places as Port Arthur.
Wonderful informative tour of Tasmania 1 , NSW, Australia, Apr 2017
The travel experience from the booking through to the return home exceeded all our expectations. Tasmania is a State of contrast from the magnificent World Heritage areas of the Gordon River and Cradle Mountain Reserves to the historical towns and venues. We learnt more about Tasmania in 9 days than we have in 60 years while enjoying the excellent accommodation ...read more and new friends. (Ed: Review based on slightly different itinerary. Saw lots, but would have liked flexibility some days 0 , Canada, Feb 2014
Optional tours never discussed by tour guide to the whole group. Organization in some ways very loose, but very knowledgeable. Never received the customary backpack as did the others by their supplier, so had to ask for one. Dinners good, but chefs would not let us place orders until everyone was there. Consequently most dinners stretched to over two ...read more hours not allowing you to do anything else in the evening and food came so late you were either ravenous or no longer hungry! Saw lots, but would have liked flexibility some days allowing a little hiking. Everything was so rushed. Friendly courteous service. Great driver. (Ed: Review based on slightly different itinerary.
