I had a few fears about being on a bus with a gaggle of strangers for 29 days, but what a great bunch of fellow travellers. The tour director was excellent and very experienced. Nearly everything was done - the only responsibility I had was to have my bum on a seat at a nominated time. It is a long tour. i doubted myself in that I could make it - but ...read more then it was ending too soon!

We were on the go from day one. The 4:30 am start out of London was a surprise. This is a pretty fast paced tour and I enjoyed every bit of it. We were on the go from day one. There were several hotels a bit out of the city although I took all the options and so that was not really a problem for me. (There was a bug going around and I did need to return to the hotel. I was going to have to find my own way back but our tour driver was awesome and took a few of us back.)
I learnt heaps on this trip, visited some amazing places and great people.

Tour guides took us around all the major cities and they knew their stuff. Airport transfers and Eurostar train option were organised and pretty much went like clockwork. I took this tour because it included Athens and also a three day Greek Island Cruise as an option. In looking back, it was a good choice. I was happy to return home satisfied I had more than enough away from home.

I was given advice that Mourlin Rouge was not worth going to. My advice - don't miss out because of someone else's opinion - I thought it was great and I am glad I did not miss it. This could apply to 99% of the Trafalgar optionals.
Everything went very smoothly 2 , NSW, Australia, Jul 2015
From the moment l booked with Hannah till l arrived home, everything went very smoothly. I have spoken to Hannah personally and Georgie too, they are both very professional on the phone. Our Trafalgar leader, Sophia was an amazing young lady, she knew so much information about each place we were visiting, I thought she was reading it from a book but ...read more she was saying it all out of her head! Everything went very smoothly under her directions. She had a lovely, caring personality. While still maintaining a professional manner at all times! Our bus driver, Marcello was a very capable driver (we even had an incident where a truck travelling alongside us was coming into our lane, the driver of the truck was going to sleep at the wheel apparently!). But Marcello kept us all safe. We even got lost at one point and he had to reverse that big bus down a very narrow street with 'Juliet' balconies all over the place and he did it without a scratch. Someone in our group said 'he could drive the bus through the eye of a needle' and we all agreed. Everyone concerned is a credit to their company.
An excellent way to gain an overview of Europe 2 , Australia, Sep 2014
An excellent way to gain an overview of Europe. The location of all our hotels allowed us to explore the city on foot which was great. The optional excursions added to our appreciation of the various countries we visited. Put simply this was a wonderful experience. Thank you Yvonne for your help and guidance through the organizing and booking of this ...read more tour. We left Australia comfortable in the knowledge that we were about to join a tour fully briefed and with all our travel arrangements in place.
No Visas were required 2 , Australia, Jul 2014
I believe that the optional 'excursions' should be stated prior to tour booking or at least shown so that the additional costs could be factored in. Additionally with regards to Visas, Trafalgar have been performing this tour for a long time and should inform their clients that no Visas are required at all as the cruise operator arranges the Turkish ...read more Visa thus obviating the need for the client (me) to arrange these Visa's and pay something around $300 for them when they weren't required. Also some of the coach drives were excessive (greater that 2.5 hours with one of them in excess of 3 hours). This is hard on people especially those on blood pressure meds or suffering with Diabetes (average age of coach passengers (48) was in excess of 50 years old.
